I’ve been gaming for over a decade, and I gotta say, Dark Souls 2 captures a lot of what makes a great game.It is super challenging as I’m sure you’ve gathered by now. The repeatedly dying and retrying sections of the game reminds me of playing difficult levels in SNES Mario titles. It’s almost trance like. You memorize how to navigate each section in parcels, and perfect your technique. The atmosphere of the game is really well done. The soundtrack is immersive. Boss battles are truly epic. NPCs have a lot of character and contribute to the bleak but enchanted feel of the game. I love the message system which is both helpful and entertaining.I’ve had a love-hate relationship with this game. I’ve gone for weeks not playing it because I’ve died so many times in the same area.It is grueling. You learn never to rush an enemy encounter. You learn extreme patience and persistence. You wait for the enemy to make a mistake. Then you strike. Then you back away and re-assess.
Great, frustrating, hard, and everything else we’ve come to love about these games, delivered right to your door.
I could talk about this game for weeks but ill keep it short for the sake of your time. BUY THIS GAME. If you are just looking for a new game and want a challenge, BUY IT. If you are a long time souls fan, what are you doing. Why dont you own this game yet. If your not a souls fan, read the last part of the sentence again. Kept me occupied for months. Definetly reccomend, this game is BAD. ASS.
Lol……its fun but at the same time i hate this game lol
if you love a challenge play this game if not never play this game it is very difficult and some people cant beat it.
One of the most challenging and rewarding games I have ever experienced. I will always recall this as one of my favorite games ever.
My grand son plays it, says it’s a challenge.
At last, DkSII has arrived at my doorstep and since receiving it have been playing nonstop. Great atmosphere, storytelling, music, gameplay and best of all: Jolly Cooperation! Yes, you can still be invaded even if you’re hollow, which is even more nerve wracking than before. I believe the sequal has about the same amount of levels as in the first DkS. Just looking back at the first game and seeing how much they improved the fluidity and level balancing really made the game much more interesting and definitely not any less difficult. The one thing I really enjoy the most out of FroSof’s Epic creations are the mysterious and thought provoking lores. They won’t be explaining much about the smallest things that make up the new world of Drangleic but it’s damn well fun to talk about! The level designs are amazing as always… except some cause they’re downright frustrating, but that’s okay, because it’s Dark Souls. It’s only been March 31 when I got it, but I already beat the game April 29, 2014 on my first playthru but I won’t be going to NG+ until… well, later. 5 Stars?! No, 5000 Stars…
My brother wanted this game badly. He says " its good"
Another fine entry in the Dark/Demon Souls Universe. The combat system is just as unforgiving as the last two games, but that helps to make you a better gamer. Instead of just bullrushing into a fight like most games you need to think out a strategy & be cautious. Once you adjust to the game system playing becomes extremely rewarding. Highly recommended to anyone who likes a challenge in their games.
