We have only recently added an Xbox to our household. I wanted to select Kinect games that would keep our kids interested and provide some problem-solving opportunities and collaborative play. This does both beautifully. Every time we pop this game in we find something new and fun. Once our 7 year old had the hang of it he was able to navigate the menus with ease. What we like:- two players can play together in a split screen or share a single screen- one player can opt out without stopping the game (just step out of the game area and it automatically converts to a single player mode)- menus are fairly easy to navigate- interesting levels that offer a variety of physical, problem solving, memory, and accuracy play- the games and activities are true to the Pixar characters and their worlds- you can skip the treadmill if you play with your kidsWhat we don’t like? There is very little we dislike about this game. Sometimes we can’t tell who is the controller when we switch players, but we are probably confusing the game. The age of players in our house are – 37, 45, 8, an 6.This does require some space. We have a long and narrow living room with the television set up on one of the long ends. This allows us to be about 6 feet away from the Kinect sensor. We have about 5 feet to move side to side, so it gets a little crowded when we have two players up. I would also suggest wearing workout shoes if you are playing on a hard surface. My legs and feet were killing me after 30 minutes.
my son only seem to like this because it has Cars on their and it’s his favorite movie. aside from that he doesn’t play any of the other games. navigating to the different games can also be a challenge since it’s your body that is moving around. teaches hand eye and many other coordination which i love but he doesn’t realize that’s what he’s doing.
Fun, but the game layout is somewhat tiresome, you have to run from game to game as if you where at a theme park, that’s my only complaint though. for 10 bucks it’s hard to beat.
This game has dozens of games for the 4 movies advertised. Fantastic body-tracking. My 4 year old plays it like a pro!* One tip, use Kinect Tuner (blue button on controller) to point the Kinect down so that it sees your little guys/gals better.I had it in the default position and it barely worked. Used the "tilt" on the Kinect setup, it worked 100% better.
Bought this so that my 4yo son and I could burn some energy on these rainy PNW weekends. We have a great time playing all the games, and he is able to navigate the game by himself when his old man needs to take a break. Mommy likes to play the adventures with him as well. Great fun all around.
My boys and their friends love this game..being able to interact with so many of their Disney Pixar “friends”. If I have any negative feedback at all, it would be that while you have the ability to choose from multiple game areas, based on the various movies represented, the games themselves are kind of redundant. The skills and challenges one experiences in one are are largely the same as those in other areas so the games themselves are kind of repetitive. The kids still love them, but I find that they are able to too easily defeat the individual challenges making the game one that may not long hold their attention.
My little sister who is 7 LOVES playing this game. Out of all the kinect games we have, she plays this the most. Lots of different games within so theres plenty to do.
We bought this as a Christmas gift for our son. This is a cool game. I recommend that you watch the video about the game, we did and that is why we bought it. The Kinect sensor scans you, and you create your avatar and are "in the game". So glad we bought this instead of the Infinity. Would recommend this game to others.
This is a great find for anyone who has a Disney loving little boy or girl! I have a 4 year old son who was easily able to navigate this game. Another plus is this is another game that gets them up and moving. He really stays active with this (climbing, jumping, running, etc). Plus he becomes a unique character in all the movie scene games. There are different challenges for him to complete that open up new games and levels.
Another great game to burn off energy for the little ones. My grandkids love it
