Sonic And Sega All-Stars Racing is a Kart Racer that can stand its ground next to Mario Kart, Crash Nitro Kart, and other kart racers. It’s a solid, fun, and frantic game that you’d want to take weeks off to play if you’re a fan of racing.Normally this is where I discuss the story, but no, there is none, so onto the gameplay. As stated, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing is a kart racer that puts players into the shoes of Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Amy Rose, and other sega favorites as they race against the others to win the gold cup, using a variety of weapons and items to get an edge. With tight, simple controls, anyone can jump into the fun. Each car plays differently. Some cars are wicked fast but don’t handle well on rough terrain, while others can fly over said rough terrain smoothly, but aren’t that fast. Play as every racer to see which one suits you best. Speaking of, you have no shortage of characters to race as, but depending on which version you pick up, you may get more or less. The Wii version features your Mii as an extra racer, the Xbox 360 version has your Xbox Live avatar and Banjo Kazooie as playable characters, along with some DLC for two extra racers and an extra track. The PS3 version may have the DLC but that’s it. My vote goes to the Xbox 360 port as the definitive version, so dust off your old 360 and get into the fun.There are about twenty tracks, spanning several sega games, like Sonic the Hedgehog, House of the Dead, Super Monkey Ball, Samba De Am.
My girlfriend isn’t much of a gamer, but she always sees me gaming on my Xbox or PC, so i guess she wanted a little something for herself too. When she was young, she had an N64 and Mario Kart was one of her favorite games. I did my research in search of a game for her that she’d like, and i ran into this one. I saw it and i said, okay we’re getting somewhere. Then i read as many reviews as possible throughout multiple websites, and encountered nothing but positive feedback on this game.I can say that this game is Fun & Beautiful. It’s pretty much Mario Kart, but Sonic (as good or maybe even better). The buttons are extremely easy and to the point. After every race you earn i think it’s called “Sega Points/Cash”, and with those Sega points you can go into the Sonic Racing Store and unlock/buy New Maps, Characters, & more Soundtracks (it gives you something more to play for). There are SO MANY Characters & fun Maps to choose from, so the variety is there. The detail & atmosphere in each level is admirable, the designers did a beautiful job detailing and animating the maps. Besides the classical “Race” mode, there are many other fun game types with an objective that are available to play. This game is complete: many characters, many & beautiful maps, up to local 4-player split screen, 8-player Xbox Live to play with other people around the world, etc.Two of my good friends were over my house on Friday night (and we’re hardcore gamers), and we actually sat down for 2 hours playi.
Fun game for the whole family.
I grew up playing Sonic games as a kid, so I suprised to find out that there was a Sonic racing game. The game plays kinda like any other kart racing video game. The characters each have their own vehicle that feel genuine to them.
My 5 year old loved it and my nephews, love that u can play 1-4 players!

THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER. THERE ARE SO MANY CARS,MOTORCYCLES TO CHOOSE FROM. THEY ALL HANDLE VERY WELL AND THE GRAPHICS ARE GREAT. THE BOTTOM LINE BUY THIS GAME.
I got this for my kids, ages 13 and 5, after watching them really enjoy the demo. They had so much fun that I just had to get it for them as a surprise. The game is a terrific price, so it was a no brainer. Once the game arrived the kids were overjoyed and played it all day; it was great to hear their laughter and enjoyment. Then I got to playing it and got hooked. It is really good, clean fun. The graphics and performance of the game are great. One of the more enjoyable games I’ve seen.
