Works great fun game
When I played Crazy Taxi at the arcades, I was totally amazed at the gameplay. I just can’t wait to buy the home version of that game! And I did, and boy, does it look and play very smooth. Now with the gameplay, it’s very simple to drive your taxi with a standard controller. The A and Y buttons for Reverse and Forward are simple to remember when you’re in tight situations. The Brake and Accelerate triggers are easy to get used to.For the music, I don’t like Bad Religion and the Offspring very much, but here’s what I love: Shut them off by putting the music volume to zero, and leave the voices on. Then with your own CD boom box, put in YOUR OWN music! That’s what I like about C. T. When I play the game, I slap some Alan Parsons Project, and their instrumentals, like ‘Mammagamma’, ‘Pipeline’, and my favorite to play as my adrenaline pumps to get customers to their destinations frantically is ‘In The Lap Of The Gods’, and the instrumental break of ‘Silence and I’. I can also add some Genesis or the upbeat music of Bill Conti (I prefer ‘For Your Eyes Only’ music) to get it going too. You see, if you don’t like Bad Religion and the Offspring, get your own music, like I do.The 4 main characters in the game are crazy. I like Gena the best. B. D. Joe is always funny with his liners. Gus is good too, but seems to be an old timer and laid back. And Axel, is average like a main hero in any game. And the overall action of the game is…CRAZY and FUNNY! And also gets the replay value too! You can ram to the sign, and see your taxi fly up (I mean WAY up!) and come back down! Or try sliding your cab at high speed to the wall to get extra fare bonuses! The customers are funny with their one liners too. I reccomend this game to any driving fan or non-driving fans anywhere.Crazy Taxi. It’s the best ‘driving and picking up customers to their locations’ game there is! :)

Fun game. I remember when the dream cast first came out, and i got this game, and had a blast playing it. It was a nice reunion when i had to buy this game again, as i lost the original one i had after i lost it. wish it had more tracks, other than 2. the mini games were boring.
Alright, alright, I know, three stars. You must be wondering why such a great game as Crazy Taxi only received three stars from a hard core Sega fan. Well, if you really, really know your games, then you know that Crazy Taxi only deserves three stars. Now, don’t get the wrong idea, I love Crazt Taxi, and play it a lot, but there are a couple of reasons why I only gave it three stars. First of all there is no variation. It is the same thing over and over and over and over again. All you do is pick up people, and drop them off at the given locations. At first this game is da bomb! It totally rocks, but after an hour or so, it’s just like, ok, that’s enough of that game for like another year. You are only given one course to travel on, and after a while, you are sick of the same old scenery. However, the sound effects and graphics are absolutely amazing, and totally worth while. I would buy this game for someone who does not enjoy a challenge, and can be entertained by the same thing for a long time. I hope my review has helped you decide!

This game is awesome! It is an absolute must-have game for the Dreamcast or PS2. Even though the game can get repetitive, the challenge of picking up different people and exploring different areas is huge. It’s a fun game to play with friends because even though it is 1-player only, it is so quick everyone can play it. It’s also fun for kids to drive around either in the game or in the “Crazy Box” modes. The game where you pop the balloons with the car is fun for kids as young as 3 or 4 (even though you have to help them steer!!)

Crazy Taxi is one of the most unique and addicting games I’ve ever played! Thanks SEGA
This game is pretty cool the first time you get it. It seems like a huge landscape with a lot of different people to pick up and drive around untill you beat it. It has great music and great graphics, but there isn’t much to do in it. There are two levels to choose from and four taxi cab drivers to chooose from. There are a few special levels to do that are pretty hard. You probably wouldn’t play this game very long. I beat it the first day I got it, played it a few days to do everything in it and haven’t played it since. It gets four stars because it’s fun when you first get it and the areas are big untill you explore them a little.
Crazy taxi is a great game, with great graphics, sound, and gameplay. But of course the game has some, well…. alot of flaws. The game was designed from the very popalare aracde game called, “Crazy Taxi.”(Of course) The game does feature this aracade verison along with a new verison for dreamcast. The game clevery mixed in humor, a some what different type of gameplay, and of course good plain fun. Before I go into the basics I must clear up something, this is not a racing game.I’ll start with the gameplay. In Crazy Taxi you must pick-up persons and bring them to different areas.(Like the airport) This is were the fun factor comes in. There is 2 courses and a mini game area called crazy box. The game also has 4 different drives, each with there own car and strenghts. I must say Crazy Taxi does hold impressive gameplay.Next is the sound and the graphics. The graphics are good, they are very smooth, clean, ect. Yes, there is a small flaw in the graphics, a very unstable framerate. In very dense areas of the game it feels like time stops, cause’ of how slow it gets. The sound is crisp, lots of different voice samples. But in the sound comes another flaw, it’s the soundtrack. The soundtrack features; offspring and bad reiligon. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had a bigger selection, there’s only like four songs of the game.(This is the biggest drawback)Overall the game is worth ten bucks. To be perfectly honest it’s the perfect game to kick of your shoes and play.

This really is an arcade driving game. You can forget realistic physics, licensed cars, and customizable vehicles. Crazy Taxi has none of that. What it does have is an enjoyable blend of frantic “forget the rules of the road” driving and timed passenger deliveries. There are four modes of regular play and two maps to drive on. There is also a little extra part where you have to perform certain tasks to continue. The graphics are not too bad, but there are many situations where the graphics get slowed down considerably. When these slow downs do occur it’s never for very long, and they don’t happen very often.I’m not a big fan of the music, but I suppose it’s not too bad. It does go along with the atmosphere of the game.Overall this game is well worth the little amount of money you’ll likely pay for it. Even if you’re not a fan of racing games, this is a real good game for spontaneous play when you don’t want to get involved in some epic adventure. This is a game that every Dreamcast owner should have in their collection.
