I stopped being a Sonic fan for a long time but after trying Generations I can confidently say I’m a fan again. Generations is like the greatest hits of Sonic in a single video game, taking elements from several different games.
I have to admit the only Sonic Games I liked was the original Genesis Sonic 1, 2 and 3. When it started going 3D I just lost all interest in it.Now Years later I’m glad I found this game, it brings back the old days of 2d side scrolling game, the game is just so packed with levels and details, side quests, secrets, store, upgrades, music, soundtrack, bosses, Sonic Friends and Art. You can also switch the voice language. And Yes the Xbox live servers are still up and running, you can enjoy online with a used copy of this Game.I even started liking the 3d levels with this game, changed my mind completely. Can’t get over how good the soundtrack and detail of levels are.Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I am.Peace
Great quality product but my game system didn’t have the DVD player option so I have to return it. Fast deliver from the shop. WIll buy from this shop again.
Actually my grandson loves Sonic and I have purchased all the Sonic games for him for either his birthday or Christmas (he is 9). Within 2 days of receiving the Sonic Generations he had already beaten it to level 5. He can tell you more about it than I can .. .but I know that he is certainly satisfied with the product
For the first time in around 13 years, since the release of Sonic Adventure 2 battle, here’s a game you can enjoy without worrying about map design and unwanted falls.This game is well thought. Seems Sega did a lot of testing, because when you feel that you triggered a glitch, there’s something on the map (like a spring) that will get you back up and running again.Maps are ample and loading times are very fast.Soundtrack may disappoint or not, since it’s all about past Sonic games (up to Sonic Colors). Although it seems strange, these soundtracks are not from the maps of the game (better YouTube them).Side missions (most of them) are fun and very original.If you have the opportunity then grab a copy because you will enjoy every moment of it.
Sonic the Hedgehog is back, and it looks like Sega wanted him back. After Sonic 06 came out, Sega just didn’t seem to know how to make a “Sonic” game. Yeah, his name was there, but for a game to be a “Sonic” game, it’s gotta be more. And the finally figured out what makes a Sonic game a Sonic game when they made Sonic Colors. And boy oh boy, that was awesome, but you can’t just keep releasing the same old thing all the time. So, Sega came up with a completely original idea, to take Modern Sonic, and Classic Sonic and start from there.Now, the game itself isn’t really new. Yeah, 2012, two Sonics, all that. However the stages, and content is a bit old. True Sonic fans will know the stages, but what they wont know (at least on the first play through) is the layout. Yes some stages still have major elements from the games, but for the most part they all have been redone. Yes, old stages from older Sonic games were taken, and remade for this one. You can platform through them with Classic Sonic, and blast through them with Modern Sonic. This means you play each level twice, but with a different level layout, and different music. The theme however is the same. For instance, in (spoiler alert) Crisis City, act 1, you’ll play as Classic Sonic and get through the stage. Then act 2, you play as Modern Sonic, and play through a stage similar to act 1. So, these two acts are based on the same level, however their design is different. Make sense? I didn’t think so. However, don’t get the.
Got this for my 5 year old, as he’s now in the age where he loves everything Sonic. I have the PC version, but thought he would have more fun playing on a console (and easier for him to get the game going on his own). We have a lot of fun playing together.
My four-year old girl has recently been enjoying video games. Her entrance into gaming was Epic Mickey 2, but that became too simple for her. I then introduced her to Sonic Unleashed which was a bit more difficult – probably too difficult. Now came Sonic Generations which is a perfect mix of 3D and platform mobility. She’s thoroughly enjoying it and in those areas that are a bit too difficult for her, I’m enjoying it as well!Highly recommend.
The disc is scratched, but installation worked fine. However, the disc needs to be inserted in the disc drive for the game to function, which I was not aware of before purchase.
Disc is in excellent condition, box is pristine, everything was as expected
