This is an older title, I was told it was good so I gave it a shot. It’s fairly decent with a cool story. It can be difficult because of the angles. Other than that it’s cool .

Do not be fooled this is a good start in the new Games for the Conan series. Anyone who expects more than a hack and slash out of this comic book icon should just go play a different game like one of the splinter cells or Oblivion the only problem I found with it was the sub-par graphics for his release onto the 360 one would think they would up the quality in their graphics, but to recap it is a fun game that is quite entertaining with an OK storyline.
I have always been a fan of Conan, with the exceptions of the aweful movies. I think this game captures the spirit of Conan as depicted by his two greatest writers Robert E. Howard and L. Sprauge DeCamp. The graphics are beautiful in most of the game. There are glitches. The bare breasted women were a nice addition to go along with the beautful landscape scenes. This game reminds me of the Spawn game called Armeggedon. I loved that game (Spawn had more fancy weapons). In short, I highly recommend it as something to keep you busy until MASS EFFECT is released later this month.
Conan has all the makings of the classic arcade games, be it a little more on a “adults only” level. Since there’s so many reviews, i’ll list only a few highlights:1.) There no complex puzzles in this game, but you get the feeling after playing a little while that the game designers wanted it that way. Just keep pushing ahead, slashing and chopping up bad guys. Remember the arcade days?2.) there are save points, so you’ll be restarting a few parts over again when you die. The game has a lot of checkpoints though, so unless you quit, you’ll start close to where you met your doom.3.) it took me approx. 8 hours of actual saved game playing time to beat it. Not a long game, but i had to replay a few parts over, and try a couple of times to beat some of the bosses.4.) there are a lot of special moves to learn and 3 basic weapon setups to master (big sword, sword and shield, dual swords).I was still learning moves when i solved the game.5.) This game is definitely a “dude” game. A lot of senseless violence, topless women to rescue, no big plot just smash everything, etc…6.) Small replay value. Now i’ve solved it, i’ll put it on the top shelf and forget about it unless i’m really bored.bottom line: it’s really cheap and well worth a few bucks used! Not a brainbuster, but fun nonetheless.
Conan The Barbarian….A fairly decent fighting game (similar to God of War) BUT, NOT THE SAME! I hear a lot of people comparing this game to God Of War, and while it IS similar in playing/fighting, it has it’s own flair. I do think GOW is still better than Conan, but Conan is definitely a decent game with tons of action, fighting, naked babes, and a boatload of bloody GORE!Other folks have mentioned the difficulty in fighting the “boss characters”….YEAH, it’s true! It also gets very annoying to hack, slash, and block, and block, and block for 15 minutes to get nowhere….Yet, some of the Boss Characters are fairly simple to defeat???? But, the FUNNIEST part about the game is that some of the more “basic” characters in the game are downright extremely HARD to kill…..Go figure???? It seems like you’ll have 10 bad guys gang up on you at the same time, all swinging away, while you block for a half an hour, just trying to get in ONE SWING of the blade!!!That’s probably my main gripe with this game…Otherwise, it’s a blast to play, and I’d say it’s worth owning, because the replay value is certainly there.
You’ll have a lot of fun with the game if you like hack and slash games. Great level design and different moves and weapons such as sword and shield, dual wield weapons, and large 2 handed weapons.
Standard button smasher. Cool only because it’s Conan.
The history of this game is great; the action play is super fun…there’s a lot of blood an violence, and naked girls too…is a very fun game. The dificulty levels makes you get the right skills to develop an allmigthy Connan
