Great game
One of the best real time Strategy games out there regardless of system or generwtion
Item is as described. Arrived quicker then expected!
I first purchased this game in 1999,i don’t know why i bought it exactly ( i hadn’t played much strategy/war games ever, but something drew me to this one.As soon as i got home with it i popped it in, and i was mesmerized The music… of the music is so grand, and the atmosphere (yes this 2D tiny model game has atmosphere!) i was blown away. Each level you played through is so challenging and refreshing, all game’s out there now your finished with a level in 2-10 minutes, this one.. sometimes you don’t finish for hours a mission. Now that can be good and bad… i take it as good.I love challenge and game-play.Now all that 1 player stuff is all good and dandy… but where this PS game really shined for me was the 2 player mode. The Game contains 2 CD’S one for the allied missions and one for the soviets. what was great about this was you could use one of the CD’s in your buddy’s playstation and link your playstation’s together. you didn’t have to buy a extra copy of command and conquer to play together..ME and my best-friend at the time took well advantage of this every weekend we would linkup our playstation’s for head-to-head skirmishes, i think the shortest skirmish we ever played against eachother was 6 hours, and the longest 12 hours straight of war.You might think wow thats a long time, but no when your playing against a live person on this game time flys by so quickly you dont realize.Building up your fortress your tanks your infantry, mining ore for resources to build up.
when i first got this game i was so excited and ran to my playstation and started to play it. the game had excellent music and a VERY WIDE selection of levels and arens. this game has almost no diffrence bettween red alert command and conquer. the only real diffrence is the new units. even that is not much. they have a tesla tank, M.A.D tank and a shock tropper, i will start with the tesla tank. the tesla tank is a nice wepoon to have but it is not that good for attacks. they are really a defense wepon for attacking men. the M.A.D tank is a tank that sends shock waves out to destroy building but not men. it does this by self destructing. it is a good wepon to send in and let is blow up a lot of junk and then send all you men in. now here is the shock tropper. he is a nice attacking unit. it costs $800 dollars and is worth the price. they can not be ran over so that is real helpful. they can easily take out a building with out many casulties. this game is over all pretty good but the graphics are pretty nice but not as good as computer. the computer version has couple of diffrend levels and has a pretty nice plot.(the computer game of command and conquer red alert retaliaton is is the expansion pack for command and conquer red alert: command and conquer aftermath) if you dont have very fast computer then you should get this for playstaion.
love it
If your a fan of command & conquer, or rts games in general, pick this up… The game is years old, and I still have a blast setting up the link cables and having hours of skirmishes with friends.
Perfect in every way!
This game rules, this game is a classic and it rules. 10 out of 10 one of my favorites. But this is all nostalgic opinion, still 10/10
Hands down my favorite game of all-time. If you like games of strategy (like Risk or Stratego), then this is the game for you. Graphics are rough (as this is a PS1 game), but the strategic focus makes up for it.
