First off don’t buy this on retrolio, check your local family dollar as I got it there for $30.00.So is this worth it, I would say it’s not worth nearly $50.00! But say maybe $40 or $30 sure!Here’s a simple pros and cons list.ProsIt includes two wireless controllers ( 2 AAA batteries per controller not included requires a screw driver)Unit also can play original Sega cartridges.Unit can use original Sega plug style controllers.The unit is small sleek and very portable.Includes an awsome bundle of games ie sonic 1,2 altered beast and much moreAll necisary cables are included in the box.ConsUnit uses AV cables witch you would expect at this price how ever the lack of the stereo AV cable is a bit of a head scratcher? The sound is bad, but it’s tolerable in most cases. Sonic 1 sounds way off while sonic 2 sounds just about right, some games are OK some are bad bad bad! It’s just retro game music, if you can live with out it it’s fine if not don’t buy this!The included controllers work but they are pretty cheap feeling also the buttons are stiff and clicky. They are wireless but they work on IR like your TV remote, they have to be pointed directly at the game system at all times. Like I said they work but I did die a few times becouse the controllers lost direct sight of the system. Also there is a tiny bit of lag, not bad though.The unit feels pretty cheaply made over all, it can’t weigh more then just a few ounces.The unit has a lot of great games but also has a ton of.

controllers dont work very well. buy some old sega genesis ones with cords. its worth it.
First of all let me start off by saying don’t expect a full size game system, it is a small system, about the size of an old. 1980s digital alarm clock, but it does have the ability to play your old sega cartridges (I don’t have any)
I like the Sega Genesis classic console it’s really nice.The emulation of most of the games are good except the Sonic games.Also However you can’t use add-on’s on it such as Game Genie or the 32-X graphic processor.That’s the whole downside to it. On a side note I heard X-Men 2 game cartarge does not work on it ether.
I hear people complain about this plug and play all the time, but I think people just expected to much. I paid less then $50 for this and I don’t regret the purchase. You have around 40 actual Sega titles on here if you were to purchase each game for around $5 each you would be around $200 before you even purchased something to play them on add another 40 games to that which are included and two wireless controllers never mind the ability to play most of your old Genesis cartridges and it’s a steal at $50. I know some of the audio on a few of the games is a little off but this doesn’t hinder the gameplay. Most people wouldn’t even pick that up. The wireless remotes feel good I’ve had no issues with them, but I understand some people might so they can always use wired controllers. For the miner hiccups this might have its still a great deal for the price.
