I love it
Buy this for 1942 rebooted. It’s one of the most addictive SHMUPs on the 360 and one of the few on disc.
CAPCOM you surprise me.This collection includes 8 Xbox Live Arcade games (9 if you include Magic Sword that comes with Final Fight), making this the biggest XBLA game collection to date (excluding SEGA GENESIS COLLECTION but that’s technically not an XBLA game collection). The value is worth about $90 if you download all the games (and the DLC for Rocketmen) separately. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AT LEAST 3 OF THESE GAMES, THIS COLLECTION IS WORTH THE $40. If you can get it for less then it is a steal. Many of these games have either VS. and/or Co-op for both offline and online. The games featured:1) SUPER STREET FIGHTER 2 TURBO- HD REMIX: yet another remake of a classic fighting game, new graphics are nice, music of crisp, (though I still prefer the CD tracks from the old DOS game for a lot of characters) it’s still awesome.2) Final Fight: Double Impact: similar to STREETS of RAGE, an arcade brawler.(Bonus game) Magic Sword: arcade game that is a little like castlevania. -Both feature filters to make the graphics look better.3) 1942 Joint Strike: a classic arcade shoot-em up, HD remake look good.4) Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD remix – casual and cute VS. puzzle game that anyone can play and enjoy, featuring some well known CAPCOM characters (from Street Fighter and DARKSTALERS!!!). The graphics aren’t as good as some of the other games but it is easily the most addictive.5) Bionic Commando 2- Rearmed: an HD sequal to a platformer/shooter classic, didn’t play much but it looks.

There’s really just three games that make this worth the while. Street fighter, puzzle fighter, and final fight. The version of 1942 is good too, though those type of games never intrigued me back in the day. To me, the rest are OK titles, previously only available as downloads. The price is what makes the collection really worthwhile. With the tite easily running under $20, you’re getting alot of bang for your buck. And if you’re a puzzle game fan, I think puzzle fighter is a great forgotten puzzle game that will give you your money’s worth.
I just bought this the other day. Of course, the reasons being that I grew up playing several of these titles (all the Street Fighters,Final Fight,Bionic Commando,1942). I still have some of these games on older systems/consoles. But they did a great job making these rematsered for play on modern LCD,LED & Plasma TV’s. The Graphics are sharp, the sounds have been remastered and are crisp. The colors are vibrant! You can also change up a game, & make it like the old original version on arcade. Doing so does make games look blurry or smudgey on newer TV’s. Still, I gotta say that ability is a plus!!! The gameplay is overall smooth and fluent. I noticed playing Street Fighter that at times using the D-pad, you don’t always pull off a Hadoken with Ken/Ryu, or other moves at tmes. But overall yes, it plays great & isn’t too big of an issue. If you can pick this up (especially for the prices on here) I recommend it. I paid $20.00 @ Gamestop. But still was worth that price to me too!
Great collection of classic titles. I bought it specifically for Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD, one of my all time favorite games from the PS1.
Daughter loves it.
There’s plenty of "fun factor" in this collection of vintage CAPCOM titles. This will definitely send you down memory lane. The graphics look fabulous on my big flat screen using HDMI. While the gameplay hasn’t changed from yesteryear, its nice to relive all those hours spent playing these titles. I just wished they had included some other classic titles, as I’m sure they had the room on the disc.
