Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is a very nice first-person shooter. You start out as a private in the divsion named “Big Red One.” You have six other men in your unit, some of whom may save your life, and you may have to save thiers.This game is very realistic and I could not find any real major flaws with it. The enemy AI is superb and the graphics are certainly up to par, as is the sound effects.At the start of each mission Sgt. Hawkins, gives you a briefing of what you need to accomplish. From there on out, anything goes. You and your fellow soldiers must find a way to accompish the task. Each mission has its different ways to go about it, and each one is equally as fun as the other.There is a wide range of weapons in this game, all of which are historically accurate.The one thing I did not like is that I finished the game in a total of two days. Luckily, I paid only $20 for it, so I suggest to look for it at a lower price because it is not worth $50.NOTICE: The rating on this game is teen. There is some profanity, but nothing that would be bleeped out or is that serious.

This one of my sons favorite games. He was so pleased to get it as soon as he did. He is always waiting to order games off of other site, but I don’t trust anyone else but you guys.
Some reviews have knocked how “easy” this game is and it’s brevity. Honestly, I play games for fun and entertainment, not to be overly challenged to the point of frustration. (Real life is frustrating enough, I want games that are fun to play!) If you are looking for a great WWII game that is done well but is done in such as way as to be managable to play, COD 2 is for you. I have the “collectors edition” which comes in a silver case and includes interviews from the real men who served in the Big Red 1 division, etc,….very cool. Highlights include: the sound quality, the sheer variety of missions and weapons used (anti-aircraft guns, panzerschreck, .50 cal, etc., playing with distinct squad-mates who have unique personalities, realistic and relevant intersquad “chatter”. I have and enjoy Brothers in Arms but it involves a bit more strategy and planning to do well so I save it for when I have longer stretches of free time to play. If you want more of a run and gun type WWII game that you can pick up and play a mission through from start to finish in about 15 minutes, this is a good game for you. I am a fan of the Medal of Honor series but I think this beats it in the graphics, sound and realism departments easily. As for “replayability”…I anticipate running through the levels again on a higher difficulty level once I finish the game on “easy”.
My first COD multiplayer experience. Most fun I’ve every had online. They need to make games like this again!
