This brings many recent big budget sequels to mind which disappointed gamers in a way that one cannot glean reading reviews from the establishment critics.Silent Hill, despite being a part of that very first generation of 3D games, will indelibly imprint sights and vistas in the mind of the player. The plot is outstanding, requiring thorough exposition from the community to fully understand. The voice acting is weird and robotic, but it’s okay, because it kind of fits into this sick world, and the memorable musical score and atmospheric effects more than make up for it. The gameplay is tense and refreshingly challenging, evoking that old 90s “arcade-style” gaming difficulty. Prepare to get killed.This is a waking nightmare, a vile little voyage which somehow conjures this arcane beauty through all its filth, pus and sickness. Having played through top-rated modern horror games before my first run through Silent Hill over these past few weeks, I can say without hesitation that it has aged splendidly and that it transcends all its technological limitations. People have been and will be talking about Silent Hill for a long time, and it is a true pleasure to see that Silent Hill’s reputation is deserved as one of those 90s titles of yore which established video games as a legitimate artform. I don’t know much about this game and never played it.I bought it for a friend whom told me that he was going to pay me back for buying it for him.He never paid me for it and I sent it back to the shop whim returned some of my money.
Pretty good! A few minor scratches and it didn’t come with the original case, but those are very minor things for me. Overall, I’m happy with it.

One of the creepiest games ever. Don’t be put off by the graphics. Once you start playing you won’t notice how poor they are as you’ll be too busy jumping at every sound and fighting to stay alive.Solid story, creepy atmosphere, hideous creatures, good puzzles and multiple endings make this game.Best played in the dark.
I played this game right after I finished Metal Gear Solid and while I was a little let down from the switch I found the game entertaining. I played it at like 3 in the morning with the lights out and it can kinda freak you out. It is an old game now but if you liked the Resident Evil series and never got to try this one pick it up for your PS1 or PS2. Also if you are thinking about getting SH2 definately play this game cause it helps you understand the town.

It’s not the monsters roaming the dark that are scary in Silent Hill but the darkness itself. Atmosphere is key in this video game, and it let’s you know that right away. There are moments that make you question what you’ve just seen, these are the most impactful, because it make me feel like the protagonist, slowly losing my mind as I played. One instance in particular comes to mind, when I entered a room, stepped out again, and ended up in a different room instead of the hallway I came from. These moments are few but delivered with class. Good stuff.
