I have a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel for my PS2. There are only certain driving games that will play with it. A list can be found online. Anyway, I have Need for Speed Most Wanted, Need for Speed Underground 2, Grand Turismo 3, Grand Turismo 4, Mustang, Corvette, Midnight Club II, and Simpson’s Road Rage that all work with the wheel (which is AWESOME by the way–force feedback, hooks to the PC too).Burnout 3 Takedown blows each and every one of those games out of the water. I find that I have trouble putting this game down. The races are so intense and fun that I can’t wait for the next one. The steering is not overly sensitive, the car you drive is tough and doesn’t crumble, and you get bonus turbo power for crashing opponents and driving dangerously, on the wrong side of the road for example. You get great awards for good performances, and it opens up a lot of cars quickly. The cars are super fast and there’s a monster turbo boost to boot. I feel like I have to hang on for dear life during this game. Thumbs way up!

i purchased this to unlock the last car in Burnout Revenge, and found out it only unlocks when creating a new profile on revenge, finding out i’ll have to start that game over for the bonus car this game gives is disappointing. the bonus car it unlocks for burnout Revenge is a slower version of the "Classic Crasher" with blue flames. that said, despite purchasing this game solely for a bonus in another game, i enjoyed this game allot, possibly more then Burnout revenge, the only downside is the cars you start out with in this game are not particularly appealing( to my taste at least, some people buy those things) they look like mini coopers
I had borrowed need for speed from my friend, and it had a burnout 3 demo on it, so I cheaked it out. I played that demo for soo long and I knew I had to get the game. This game is great and the races are intense, especially when you get faster cars. This game was a great addition to the collection. 10 out of 10. My new favorite racing game.
this game is the first game of the year thats so perfect, its undescribable. There are 0 bugs that i’ve found, the only thing i’ve found to be somewhat annoying, is that the online ranking are all messed up because of people who cheated using gameshark. the single player game is so addictive that i found myself playing into the morning, and then feeling bad when i put the controller down to goto sleep. I have yet to unlock everything but it is only a matter of time, its so fun unlocking things, there are so many things to unlock you basically get an award for everything you win.the online mode is fantastic, i find myself LOL-ing everytime i play a race, road rage is the funnest, although i don’t see many games for it. I remember the night after i got the game, i had a crash server set up that i would change the crash location every game of 3 crashes, my server was so popular i didn’t turn it off until it was empty. I even had regulars. The next night i set up a road rage, and got pretty angry, i mean this one guy kept using the same car, every race, and got his team to win everytime. I helped make my team win by taking him out after i was already eliminated. fun stuff.the 2 player split screen multiplayer is great, there are so many tracks, so much to do, its insane. I haven’t had so much fun with my sister/friends since burnout 2 came out.out of everything in this game the only complaint i have about it is the lack of the ability to see the race replays, i liked this in burn.
Burnout 3 is the best game I’ve ever played in my life.I like the crashing, and how you can win all the cars and trucks,and all the explosions. I like how the cars look so realistic.Burnout 3 is a great game. You should buy it now!
This is without a doubt one of the best video games that I have ever played, on any platform, ever. I usually don’t play racing games, but this is so much more. I was hooked on this game with the xBox version, but the PS2 edition is just as good. I have been telling everyone that I know that has either a PS2 or xBox that this is a must have. The challenge is getting gold medals in each event so that you can unlock special awards, events, and cars. Unlocking fire trucks and city busses makes going back to old crash events even more fun. I would give this game my highest recommendation.
I have been waiting for this game since I finished Burnout 2 several months ago. It is just awesome. The graphics are great. About on par with Gran Turismo 3. The best part about the game, though, are the crashes and the takedowms (hence “Burnout 3: Takedown”). Run your opponent into other cars or walls, and they get taken down. The game is fast! Faster than any other racer I have personally seen.Now for the bad. I find too many times takedowns aren’t happening when I believe they should have. Plus, there are too many crash games in B3. I loved the crash games from B2 and wished there were some more, but this is just ridiculous. I am so far in the game, and have been doing nothing but crashes for a few days now. I would prefer to race. Heck, since this is “Takedown,” I would even do the Road Rages (where your objective is to takedown opponents in the time given without wrecking your own car). The load times are longer than the previous two games, thus the races and road rages are more rewarding than the crash games.
Don’t listen to the players who say this is not a good game. There is lots of fun stuff on it even if you some how you don’t like something. I have play this game alot and could play it all day every day no problem. If you have problems with the 20 sec if that load times then I sorry but sometimes putting such cool stuff and graphis in a game it may take a sec. more to load. This is a five star game!! I am also a pickey gamer but I realize what gos into a game as well.
i think that this is the best installment in the burnout series so far. burnout paradise recently was released and was pretty bad. some reviews i read said that the game was so bad it made their grown wives cry. i didn’t think it was that bad, but it definently didn’t live up to burnout three. the first two burnouts sucked because you couldn’t make takedowns, paradise sucked because it didn’t have crashbreaker or even crash mode, and revenge was ok, but the grahics weren’t as great and some of the crash junctions were unbelievably lame and impossible. burnout 3 takedown marked the birth of the takedown (hence the title), had the best crashes, and was made for the most sucessful game console of all time, the playstation 2.
