This game was more of the same from the Brothers in arms series. I guess I thought that with a new generation of systems there would be something different. If you played any of the other games this one will look the same. Fun but not COD4 fun.
A good playable game, much like all the others, but it costs as much as renting a game so how can you complain about that? I would buy it again.
This game really surprised me. A lot of people did not like this game but it was 18 bucks at Gamestop and I decided to give it a try. The story was amazing. It kept you on the edge of your seat from the opening title screen. The game really showed the realism of war. I really liked the depth of the unit. It made you invest in the entire group instead of just the main character. One thing I didn’t like was how far away the enemies are from you. The game probably would have been amazing if it would have been more of a traditional FPS. The graphics were pretty good as well the environments look pretty good and alive. The gore especially the headshots are pretty graphic and realistic.Presentation- The overall feel is excellent. It draws you in and really makes you think that you’re a part of Operation Marketplace. The story really holds it’s own against other WW2 games. The blood and gore also added to the realism. Rating 5/5Story- The story was as I stated engrossing and memorable. It really showed how I imagine war to really be like. The way they set up the flashback after you believed the character had died was brilliant and shocking. Rating 5/5Graphics- The graphics are pretty good. There is some grain in the cut scenes. This was intentional and a little annoying, but the in game graphics are smooth and generally pretty sharp. 4/5Game play- This part could have been better. The thing I do like is that you’re teammates actually fire, but when you have to kill Nazi’s level afte.
I really enjoyed this game. I don’t spend much time on the PS3, but this is the best game I have bought so far. I didn’t really rate COD World At War, it felt rushed and basic, but I loved COD4 Modern Warfare. Although this is a different style of play, I think this game surpasses COD4 due to the need to think about the game, not just run and gun. The graphics are great, the story is good, the gameplay could be improved by more involvement in picking your teams specialities and your own weapons, but I would still rate this a 5!
Good older game, simple enough for us older people :)
Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway is one of my favorite games. Simply put, I love WWII video games, and this one has lots of variety in terms of different types of combat and scenery on the different levels. One thing I love about the game is the ability to give tactical direction to special teams so you can advance through a level.
Great strategy WWII shooter, difficult but really fun and satisfying, not like any other WWII games because you get to command your differnt squads within your unit which is really cool
To be fair this game and its earlier ones were made to bring a more realistic feeling to a WW2 shooter. It is not your typical shooter where you storm through a stage killing enemies by the 100’s. You play as a Srg and have to command your squads around to cover one another and flank. The game has great graphics, a good AI, awesome sound effects and a even better story that will challenge and give you many hours of strategic combat. Please understand that most people knock this game because they are used to and I guess are not bored of your average shooter. If you are tired of typical shooters with no strategy whatsoever then I bet you will love this game. Also note that this game focuses alot more on single player then online.
