I’ve got this for my little bro and He said ” It’s beast, fun, fast paced, and enjoyable. A recommended game by me.” He is a good reviewer and he said “Try it for yourself and see if you like it.”* It’s a good game and little “bad references” (besides civil war and guns) An intuitive, “strategic”, dynamic, and awesome game for anyone willing to play. 5/5*Disclaimer: This is his opinion not yours. Try it from Redbox, Gamefly, or any other renting place BEFORE YOU BUY IT!
This is a fun game. I wonder if the death of the PS3 Network is partly to blame for all the frustration and low reviews. Listening to people complain about the length of the single player campaign is absurd given the number of games that now focus on multiplayer. This is a multiplayer game after all. The RPG elements are well thought out, and the game actually has well planned classes that encourage team play. There are no single shot kills ala MW2, nor are you going to see the same gun, same class, same perks, same everything over and over because only one load out is worth taking. That isn’t what brink is meant to be. Also, the different body types and weapon load outs work quite well. As you develop your character the game really opens up. I am enjoying the game, and only wished that I could have jumped online sooner rather than later. I am hoping that they add downloadable content at some point, as additional levels would be great. Also, this game is taking some risks, something many games aren’t doing anymore. I like the movement system. It works quite well. The levels are really clever and reward different styles of play. Choke points are only that way if you can’t figure out (which is easy) how to outflank the other team. There are multiple ways to navigate the maps, and depending on body type (i.e. light players can get more places) additional pathways open up. But, this is at the expense of health and weapon options. Once again, there are choices to be made. It’s a f.
the only issue with this game is the story line is really short other than that the game play is pretty sweet
it has a lot of parkour and it has good gameplay but detects no one playing online for some reason.
After seeing a whole bunch of different reviews from people loving this game to hating it, I decided to make my own review of what I saw in the game.First off, Brink is a totally different game. It is different than any other game that you’ve ever played. More like a combination of KZ3, BF, and Mirrors Edge. Hardcore COD fans will first off not like this game, mainly because of the lack of quick deaths that their used too, and the art style of the characters and buildings are definitely not realistic.Brink is totally a team/objective based game, not a lone wolf, KDR type of game. It’s all about Objectives, and the XP you get along the way by building turrets, placing mines, hacking consoles, disguising, giving allies ammo, extra armor, and health.Pros: Fun, Fresh, New art style, SMART system, Integrated Campaign and Multiplayer (although some people don’t like, but I do because everything you do in campaign is “unlocked” in multiplayer), GREAT SOUND, Good Community.Cons: On 360, the game can get extremely laggy, laggy enough that it isn’t playable and can freeze up your system. The counter to this is to join the “competitive match setting” witch limits the amount of people from 8 per team, to 5. It can also get really laggy on the PS3, but I haven’t encountered it yet. Limited Maps, although they are coming out with a free DLC in June featuring bug fixes (hopefully fix lag) and new maps, not sure how many though. All in all this game is a good game. It really is too.
Excellent service, 100% positive feedback, very good item.
(Update)Now that the PSN is back online I am upgrading the review from 3 to 4 stars. I pre-ordered it and didn’t have to pay $60 so I think that 4 stars is justified. If you can get this for $40 or less, you will probably be happy.Basically, the game is fun, but there are some problems. The weapon/character customization is really interesting, the teamwork aspect of the game is dynamic and refreshing, the sound is better than COD but not as good as BFBC and I really like the playful graphics. One small thing that Splash Damage did in Brink that I love is they allow you to assign the buttons on your controller however you want! It drives me nuts that most games only have a couple of preset options for button layout. This the first “Brink” ever so deficiencies in certain areas are to be expected. I am happy that someone tried to make a real multiplayer game where you must work as a TEAM to win. Brink’s developers may not have met all of my expectations, but I am pleased with their attempt.I personally like that grenades do not automatically kill you if you have full health. This prevents the game from turning into a grenade throwing competition. You can slide into enemies and knock them down. You can slide and shoot at the same time. You can be revived by friendly medics. You can set up turrets that are not overpowered. You can disguise yourself as the enemy. You can upgrade your friends’ health, damage, “metabolism” and more. Some people have complained about how many bullets it t.
This game is great I love this game because you can play for hours and there are many classes and loadouts to chose from. For a few bucks you can own a great game.
The game’s mechanics make it unique for console shooters. Online play is a bit lacking… haven’t even found a match yet -.-
I’ve been enamored with this game since it was announced. Finally got it and its a solid shooter. No issues or complaints. Kind of like skyrim in that to fully max out a character the game must be played A LOT.
