Description
You are the only survivor in a North Atlantic plane crash, floating in the icy water as the fuselage sinks beneath you. Your only hope is a lighthouse in the distance, inside of which sits a submersible capsule. You climb in and you begin your decent into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. BioShock is the “genetically enhanced” first person shooter that lets you do things never before possible in the genre: turn everything into a weapon, biologically mod your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons and craft new ammo variants, and experiment with different battle techniques. No encounter ever plays out the same, and no two gamers will play the game the same way.

Not only is it great, this and its successors often get on sale at ridiulously low prices. Go Nike on them and "just do it"
This game is a great thrill ride. A story about a perfect society gone wrong.Pros: – Graphics. You feel like you’re wandering around in an underwater city, fumbling through dark, leaky halls. – Enemies. This AI system actual has a bit of intelligence to it. If you use the incinerate plasmid on an enemy, they will burst into flames and take off to the nearest puddle of water to put themselves out. – Storyline. This game has several twists and turns in the plot line, keeping it interesting.Cons: – Not being able to use plasmids and weapons simultaneously. It’s really not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to throw a fist of lightning while firing a Tommy Gun at a crowd of bad guys.Overall, this is a fantastic game!
Great game. Timeless and great plot. First-person shooter. Can be graphic, gory, and scary.
I know that I am by far not the first person to praise this masterpiece of a videogame, so I’ll try to keep it short.Bioshock is the definition of a perfectly crafted game. From its fantastic mechanics to its amazingly gripping, multiple story-lines to its unfaltering sense of wonder, this game delivers a more than satisfying experience for any gamer.I can honestly say that there are no major problems with Bioshock, at least with my experience that is.*SPOILERS AHEAD*From the very start, you are confused (but don’t worry, it will all make sense soon). After your plane crashes into the sea, you are left waterlogged on a nearby lighthouse. You go inside and see an abandoned bathysphere waiting to be plunged down into the depths of the unforgiving ocean. As you descend, you are greeted by a voice on an intercom by the name of Andrew Ryan, explaining how mere morality can get in the way of pure genius and, without the limitations of the greedy government, a man can do anything they choose. This man in particular chose to build…….RAPTURE!For its time, this game looks absolutely gorgeous. The undersea city of Rapture never ceases to amaze me and pull me into its dark and steadily heightened mythology. Most of the enemies, Splicers, are standard freaks who wander Rapture looking for ADAM, the energy source of the city. Alongside these zombified civilians roam Big Daddies, the single-most nerve-racking enemy in the game (and possibly in any game for me)! Not only are they near-im.
The game’s a classic and it deserves to be. The graphics aren’t quite as tight as something like the Uncharted series or even the Infamous series (tow of my favorites) but the game play is definitely engaging. The characters are some cross between humorous and bizarre – the map is interesting and so is the plot/premise. We had a lot of fun with it.
Bought and played this on PC originally but bought this version to play on PS3. Awesome story, great characters and game play. Also the art and environments are so amazing and unique that this game stands above most others in the FPS genre. Can’t say enough great things about this game.
Great game. A classic I needed to play. New product. Sealed. Mint condition
Cool game, great graphics and lot of details. game takes about 10 minutes to load because of all the extra details put in by the developers. cool weapons, lots of violence, fun levels. enjoy.
I’ve never played any of the BioShock games before but I can tell you its way worth it. Its a great game and can’t wait to finish it.
What can I say about BIoshock that hasn’t been said before? It’s a breath of fresh air in an era of gloomy space marine first-person shooters. Heavy on atmosphere (harking back to the art deco movement of the 1920s and 30s), imaginative and action-packed, this amazing game will have you roaming the deserted streets of the beautifully eerie underwater city of Rapture four hours on end.
