A great blast from the past, thank you!.
Some of the best Atari releases.Plays really well as it is analog enabled. This game will definitely bring you back to the days of youth.
nice collection of games. wish they included space invaders. do not care for space duel. not bad for the price.
Used can be OK or really excellent, this was excellent condition.
I love this because it gives me the chance to play the old school games that I used to play on Atari.
great price, great quality, what a blast from the past and the girls get to play games I played when I was there age. they get a kick out of them. thanks
the reason why i bought the game cd is because i love to play the clasic video games, which are better than the video games of today, that teach nothing but violence.
In 1971,Nolan Bushnell invented the first video game,Pong. He decided to call its company Susiucchiee. But Later he changed the company’s name to Atari because no one seemed to know how to spell or pronounce the original.I really love this game.Plus it also has interviews with Nolan Bushnell,Atari Memorabilla,Excerpts fom the book known as Phoenix and a free sticker.I have this on the Playstaion format.I love playing Asteroids,Asteroids Deluxe,BattleZone,Missle Command,Black Widow and Centipede but Pong was what made this disk great.Buy the 30th annioversary edition today.
Atari took the best of the games from the Atari Collection 1 and 2 and put them into this collection and put some never seen before games into this collection. Games like Space Duel and Spider appeared in Atari 80 Games. Atari wanted to do more games perhaps but dUE to the capacity of the CDROM they had to balance the game choices for everyone. Visually the games do look appealing , but the way the game looks is your preference, as you can change the resolution options and cabinent art of the game. Some games the flicker is annoying so I turn it to low graphics settings and it looks much better on the eyes. Also on some games, when you turn off the display art, the game goes full screen so that helps a lot. Another thing that really helps a lot is the fact that you have an analog controller , the precision control in Centipede is a absiolute must to pull off certain moves in order to get the spider that flys around on the screen. And the sensitivity of the analog control helps. You will also notice in other places where the analog contriol helps as well. The interviews with Nolan Bushnell and the added Atari extras such as artwork and other promotional material help complete the deal to make it more nostalgic. The quality of the video of the video interviews is a little bit grainy but its a limitation of the 320×480 resolution that’s being displayed on the television and of course the file size limitation of the CDROM.A good buy for the used price I got it at. It’s one of thoes.
Though some of these games – namely Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command and Tempest – have been featured on past Playstation compilations before (as well as updated into more modern versions of themselves), it’s nice to see them again in this compilation. “Atari Anniversary Redux” offers half a dozen games not previously emulated for the Playstation: Gravitar, Black Widow, Asteroids Deluxe, Pong, Warlords and Space Duel. It’s also a big step up for the vector graphics games, with two modes of resolution to make sure the game is as sharp as it can be on your monitor. The cabinet art is a neat touch, but luckily it can be turned off since it often compresses the playing field into an almost unplayably small size. The Nolan Bushnell interviews are nice, as is the slide show of Atari memorabilia, but then games are what really count, and they’re represented well here.
