ACPP was my number one fav game on PS1. I would strongly recommend this title, as it features my favorite nemesis in the series: Stinger. He doesn’t like annoyances. And he likes to remind you of that. Check this one out if you have played the original.
This is a great game, and one of the best in the Armored Core series. It has a great story, unlike many games in the series, and it’s the first time the arena shows up in the series. Some of the new weapons are super-powerful and over the top, and they don’t even try to achieve balance. Equip the “finger” machine gun on your mech, and you’d have to be an idiot to lose. It makes for a really FUN game as opposed to a really REALISTIC game.That said, I would hesitate to get this if you don’t have the original Armored Core game. There are a variety of hidden parts (like the awesome moonlight laser blade and Karasawa laser rifle) in the original that don’t appear in Project Phantasma unless you import a save file. You also can’t do the “human plus” cheat without importing a save file.You can certainly play the game and have lots of fun without a save file from the original, but as you go through the arena, you might find yourself wondering where the computer opponents got all these awesome weapons and how come they can fire back cannons on the move while you can’t. You need AC1 for that, so keep it in mind.
This game is the ultimate strategy game ! It is the funnest game i have ever played in my life !!!
The best of the series as far as story development goes and the first to introduce the arena. I would reccomend playing the first game though if you haven’t as PP is more of an expansion pack (DLC for you younger gamers) than a sequel though it can be played standalone too. Either way it is a must have.
Taking one star off because just like with most of the older games, the shop has failed to resurface them.Aside from that, the artwork was intact and the top of the disk is fine.
I would say this game is the best I have ever seen the grafics are pretty good the lenth is good and the action is good .You start of with a piece of (…)for a core but you can buy weapons and armor to make it better I know you would like this game.
I was incredibly pleased by both the condition of the item and the promptness of the delivery. The game itself is on the mediocre side, but I knew of this before hand. For those looking to get into the Armored Core series, I would start elsewhere, such as Master of Arena, Armored Core 3, or the 1997 original.
I bought this game because I was geeking out over all the old video games had once had. I had to get Armored Core: Project Phantasma as a "reliving the old days" kind of spell I was under. It is a tough to chew game, Graphically, because this was one of the first in a long linage of Armored Core games, and technology about the creation of games was still all pixels and Iffy graphics. BUT, you get to blow stuff up and design your Mech in thousands of components and colors.Still a good game to pass the time with.
Love the game and series. Only giving it four stars because I was under the impression that the case and booklet would come with instead of just putting it in a bag
If you haven’t played an AC game or are wary of trying one out, stop being stupid and buy this game or another game from the AC series. Any of them will be great.The shop got the game to me in perfect condition and i even got it 2 days earlier than expected.
