It was shipped directly in the battleship game box so there were shipping labels that are permanently stuck to the box top. It works but the UPS shipping label covers half the box top making it hard to see what game it is. Very unprofessional way to ship this retrolio.
Product as described, delivered on time. I bought this as a christmas present for my daughter. I remember playing this game in elementary school, 3rd grade I believe. I’m enjoying it more than her haha.
Great gift for kids! My son loves playing Battleship.
It’s battleship! Same as I remember. I purchased this one for my son who is about to turn 7 and he enjoys it as much as I did as a kid. We’ve played together quit a bit since we bought it.
For all intents and purposes this is the classic Battleship game. It’s a bit cheaper plastic than what I remember, but that could just be changed expectations from when I was younger. Game play is still the same and all of the pieces fit fine.I do think the addition of the plane is unnecessary. It adds one more target, but it is sloppily added. The piece doesn’t have a home within the game set and isn’t the same for both players. It just seems like a lazy effort to revamp a game that doesn’t need to be more than what it is.
My six year old adores this game. My only complaint is that they added a new piece (the plane) but no new place to store it. There are peg holes for all the boats.
I purchased for my Grandchildren due to Corona-19. The kids, range from ages 11 to 15, have had many hours of fun and are off of the computer. I also have the game. My Grandchildren & I have FaceTimed each other several times so we could play together. It’s a great memory game and teaches them to think strategically.
My husband and I bought this game for our two girls. They are nine and ten years old. I don’t understand how they did not get the game. Maybe it’s because we grew up playing it? We played the game with them so they could see how to play. I still hear, “I don’t get it” and “What’s the point?”.The adults enjoyed it. Kids? I think they are spoiled by electronics. Oh well! Still worth it! :)
Bought it for my son-in-law. It’s his favorite game, he plays it with his son:)Brought a smile to his face when it came in the mail.
This is classic battleship. Plastic board and game pieces. I imagine you’re considering buying the game because you love it and want the original version. This is not electronic!
