Great game, arrived on time.
EXCELLENT game. It’s very apparent that Nintendo put tons of effort and detail into this game. It’s everything great about the originals plus so many more features and story depth. And honestly, I felt like there was less water than the originals so I don’t know what IGN was even talking about. xD
Oh the nostalgia! They nailed the good ole Hoenn feel that I remember from my childhood. But they added in so much more to make it feel new and fresh. Quite simply a delight.
I have Both! Awesome revamp to one of the greatest Pokemon Generations. Super, super fun with the same awesome graphics from X and Y and an improved story from the GBA Gen III games. If I had to pick one or the other I simply couldn’t do it. Alpha Sapphire you are fighting PIRATES aka Team Aqua and Sapphire was originally the first of the 2 games I got for the GBA gen Pokes. It will always hold a special place in my heart personally. HOWEVER if you want Nuzleaf or it’s evolved form, Koffing, or Zangoose I’d say go with Omega Ruby instead. Of course just me personally I prefer Alpha Sapphire’s Grimer and Seviper but as far as Lombre or Nuzleaf I’d say Nuzleaf all the way. Ruby gives you Latios while Sapphire gives you Latias so they are legendary clones but one is blue and the other is red. Whatever floats your boat guys but overall I like the whole experience of Sapphire better. A final not: Kyogre from Sapphire has the type advantage over Groudon. I don’t use Legendaries myself but what is more useful overall ground or water? I’ll leave that up to you, just remember Water affects all types but ground does not and if a Poison type or Ghost type has levitate that is a double whammy.CONS: They didn’t bring back roller skates and you have to wait for your bike for a bit (as it was in the original R&S).
One of the best Pokemon game out there or Omega sapphire game came with a tiny whole in the back from poor storage of original owner but who needs a case anyways when it will be in your ds
Giving it 5 stars for the childhood experience I used to have with the old ruby. If you’re buying this expecting a whole brand new and innovative Pokemon game, then I wouldn’t look here. This is mostly a nostalgic experience, as the general consensus on the game is that it’s a tad bit short with teeny tiny amount of end-game content. X and Y would probably be better for Pokemon enthusiasts, but I personally LOVEEE this game due to my chidlhood memories.
My son loved this game.
Bought Pokemon: OR for myself. My hubby got interested in it while I was playing and had beat the E4 once already, so I went and bought him Pokemon Alpha Sapphire so he wouldn’t ruin my game by accidentally saving progress after doing something stupid. I know, i’m so trusting. Haha! No but it would have been impossible anyways for two different people to play one Pokemon game so, had to buy him his own.Very fun games, all the different ones are similar, with minor twists and turns throughout the stories, i’ve loved Pokemon ever since I was maybe 10? I’m 26 now. Still playing the games. Remember when they were on the Nintendo Gameboy series. Graphics have evolved a lot since then. Now we’re on the 3ds and I can say the Pokemon series is still just as fun to play, with more internal light source than a Gameboy so you can actually play at night or in bed.I refuse to mess up the story-line for you but this game is suitable for kids, adults, and anyone who likes collecting/breeding/fighting cute monsters. On the 3DS, this looks fantastic. I am super excited for the new ones (Sun & Moon) to come out at the end of this year.
So much content, after I beat the elite 4 I haven’t done much, but this was a huge & beautiful remake. I use to play the other gens religiously restarting and new teams, this allowed me to finally play 3rd gen with a Charizard. There is a lot of water, and a lot of HMs to use that sometimes are an annoyance, but eh. You overlook them for the story, the gameplay, gorgeous graphics (I’m not even a graphics caring type of guy). It’s fun and I want to do another playthrough, I might have to get a second copy though.
Works as expected
