This game was a good game and i love snowboarding even more now!!I like how you have scout people look at your tricks and stuff but over all i would say this game is in the top 10 for x box (halo is obviously number 1!!!It would be a smart thing by the producers if they came out with amped 2 because lots of people love snowboaring… if you love snowboarding buy this game and if you don’t well then atleast rent it. This is by far the best snowboarding game on the market. It is easy to play and the concept isn’t hard to grasp at all. I tried it at my friends house and it took me 2 runs to understand how to do backflips and corkscrews. It is an awesome game because it is so different from the other snowboarding games where it is possible to pull off quadruple backflips but in amped it is so close to real that even the landing is sensitive. This is by far the best game I have played on Xbox so far but it is also one of the only games for Xbox I have played. So I recomend this to anyone who likes snowboarding and having fun on games.
This game is pretty awesome, but not the best. It could be better in the graphics department, but all the same it is pretty cool. DON’T get this game mixed up with SSX Tricky!!! I dont have SSX but I do have a friend w/ it and it is only for kids/non-snowboard fun freaks. (freaks being a good word in that sentence) If u want a real snowboarding game or ur kid wants one dont let anyone fool u. this is real and ssx is arcade. i have had it since christmas and have gotten to the snow summit rite after slopestyle. (i forgot what it was called) It is a lot of fun but doesnt have a difficulty setting so your gonna want to consider that. Other than that it is a lot of fun and even more fun with cheats. This and Halo are by far my favorites.
Amped follows the line of snowboarding games that originated back on PS1 with "coolboarders" and its progeny. It is NOT like those "arcade-style" snowboarding games like SSX Trickey or Dark Summit. OK, sure, it stretches the limits of reality; but it’s more reality based than other snowboarding games.It also has a soundtrack edit. In other words, you can record songs on your x-box and play them back over the game. It’s pretty cool to be playing this game while your favorite tunes are playing in the background. If enjoy snowboard games, but you don’t like the weird arcade-ish stuff, this is a game for you.
To be honest, I wasn’t to crazy about Amped Snowboarding. Then my brother bought it. Now, I am totally addicted. After I’ve beaten Halo, Amped is the only thing I play. The career mode is awesome. The graphics stunning. Nice music. Really the only bad thing is the trees you run into. This game is a must buy to the extreme sports fan Xbox owner.
Amped is pretty good, with a cheat code, its possible to get reasonable scores. It takes a while to get the hang of though. The graphics in this game are the best! crystal clear. The only problem is that the mountains dont last very long, like they did in SSX. But over all this game is fun. buy it!
This game had a few dissapointments, but don’t get me wrong, this game is extremely fun! The worst thing about it is the sponser things in 1-player. One time, I had a sponser that said he liked it when you did flips, so I took that into cosideration and did a triple front-flip. It was really sweet but the sponser absolelutely hated it. It does that all the time, but fortunately, that is about the only bad part of the game. It has really cool details and graphics. It’s also not extremely hard or extremely easy so this game is definitely worth your money and YOU HAVE TO GO BUY IT!!
I’ve owned Amped for four weeks (over 60 hours of play), and I rented SSX Tricky for five days (over 20 hours of play). I’m a skier, not a boarder, and I love Amped. SSX Tricky has its good points too, but with that game the characters break dance on their boards and can’t wander off the given path. In Amped the boarder is firmly attached to his bindings, and behaves more realistically. If you want a racing game with cartoon-like characters, go for SSX Tricky. If you want a fun single-player game get Amped. One funny addition in Amped is the taunts from the other boarders when you bite a trick: ‘You dropped your pocket!’Pros:- Fun! High replay value. Either go for high scoring tricks, or wander the mountain looking for snowmen to run over. Or ride the entire length of a ski lift cable.- More realistic physics than SSX Tricky (OK, so no one can jump 50 feet high), but you can stop anywhere on the mountain, and pick your own path down the mountain.- Beautiful graphics: whisps of snow, shadows, sparkling snow, hard ice- Customize the background music to CD’s you rip to the XBox hard driveCons:- No simultaneous multi-player: you take turns.- No time challenges, no gate racing- Tough learning curve if you have Tony Hawk trick habits
This game has awesome graphics and stunning abilities. It is one of my favorite games on X-Box (besides Halo). It doesn’t actuall teach you anything besides to tear it up on the slopes!!! Final examination: Snow + rail tearing = Amped
