While the singleplayer campaign of the game is interesting and well designed, the multiplayer portion suffers from one horrid flaw; the abuse of grabs/sync kills really dampens the play value. Also. it’s extremely difficult to find an online player base without either knowing enough people that do play it, or sitting in a lobby for hours. A real pity considering that AVP games used to have wonderful multiplayer capabilities.Definitely worth a play just for the singleplayer portions, especially if you’re trying to wash the stain of Colonial Marines from your mouth.

I totally fell in love with this game. I have been a predator fan since I was a little boy, and this game really fasciantes you if you liked the Predator character!I have finished the campaigns of The Predator and the Marine. I skipped the Alien campaign because I don’t like the Alien character much.The gameplay is so great! The graphics are breaktaking. I just don’t know what the heck was going on in the heads of those pro reviers who crushed this game! I mean one pro reviewer gave this game 5.5/10 (Mediocre) rating!! This game is awsome, it should have received at least an 8.5/10The only thing I didn’t like much is that you are fighting the aliens most of the time, wther as a Predator or as a Marine. When playing as a Marine, I only faced the Predator once, and kinda of killed him easily. It would have been nice if you would fight several predators at several stages of the game.

This is in my opinion the best AVP game in the franchise. You can choose to play either Alien, Marine or Predator, each with their own distinct play mechanics, and unique storyline. Though they do share the same maps in different play order.My favorite character is hands down the Alien, as it usually is in all AVP games, mainly because it’s fun to play a ferocious beastial animal.The online play though wasn’t that impressive to me, and not anywhere near as fun as it could be, so if you are solely looking for an online experience, then this might be a bit of a disappointment. If you are more interested in a fun single player experience and the online play is just a "Bonus", then this might be a good choice for you.

I could appreciate the effort the game designers went through to recreate the sounds and imagery from Aliens and the AvP films. What’s interesting is that the aliens (when playing as a space marine virtually the entire game is spent fighting xenomorphs) attack in a way this is unique to this game. They have a certain speed and techique which require you fight much differently, than say you would in Call of Duty. It made me feel like I was in the movie Aliens which was really what I was going for. The plot was just complex and interesting enough to be better than the average Hollywood film, but followed a fairly standard epic game story arc. One focus of the game is that each of the three campaigns illustrate the strength and weakness of each spieces. All in all, pretty fun.
This game really suprised me. It really is a lot of fun. I have beatin it and I gave it 4 stars because I don’t see any replay value in it. I never bothered to try the online play because I play MW2. But it definetly is a lot of fun. I found the Marine missions the most fun. All of the real guns and flame thrower from the Aliens movie. Very challenging if you don’t have it on easy. And it can leave you feeling a bit un easy when the Aliens creep off the wall out of nowhere and chase after you. A but like the movie. It is a good game but I wouldn’t Advice it if you like buying a game to play over and over. Once was enough for me. . .
