I usually don’t write videogame reviews but the negative reviews just don’t give this game its due credit. I will say this to stop readers that are only interested in the “best of everything” game or a “hard-core” FPS gamer; it won’t give you something incredibly different or better than other games you may have played, so maybe not for you (the game is a bit easy).Now to begin with I would like to assure those that are true fans of the Alien franchise that this is a great addition to an already interesting and exciting universe. Yes, addition to the standing Aliens Universe; significant time was spent on this project by rights owners, 20th Century Fox, and writers to ensure that there was a high degree of accuracy in telling a story that added to films 1-4 as well as Prometheus (special permission was given to development to review the Prometheus script before its release to ensure accuracy).The previous reviews I had read made me feel like this would be another huge disappointment from video game developers that have tried to reproduce something that has been simply out of reach until recent graphics/physics/rendering engines have allowed for this level of game play.So here is the great, good, bad, and horrible.-Great story with A+ tie-ins to the films, especially Weyland.-Great background art as well as map design that makes you feel like your wandering around LV426 and related environments.-Great Sound Fx; as stated in other reviews it sounds like it is straight from the.
I don’t know what game some of the negative reviewers played, but I rather enjoy this game. The story is not perfect, but still interesting and it does draw you in. This is what the movie ALIEN 3 should have been. The overall gameplay is intense and fun if you are an ALIENS fan. There are a few pop up texture issues, but I’ve only noticed it on a few rare occasions few and far between. The sound effects are spot on, the aliens are relentless in their attacks, and there is a good variety of enemies. The multiplayer modes are where this game shines. Who doesn,t want to take on the role of a bloodthirsty xenomorph against other players. If you are a big fan of the ALIEN franchise give it a try. I hope Gearbox makes more and better ALIEN games in the future.

I bought this for my grandsons this past Christmas. He’s quite happy with it.
Don’t see why so many ppl gave it such negative reviews, it has a few issues but overall its a good game and multiplayer is really fun. A must have for any die hard fan of the Alien franchise.
While I had fun with the game, it wasn’t the polished game I expected after all the delays. I really hoped they would have waited to release a more mature product. We all wanted to drive the car, and probably the drop ship. The smart gun should have been a weapon you could use throughout the campaign.I would have loved a single-player (ie: COD Black Ops) local multiplayer where you could play versus "bots". I don’t have time to practice and get as good as a 15-year-old. I just want to gratuitously blast some aliens and walk away.I gave it a 4 because I support their attempt with the franchise. But compared to good shooters it was probably a 3.

Can be patchy on the graphics and laggy with multiplayer on sometimes on one hand. On the other hand, an awesome and well made campaign that is completely believable and compatible with the movie franchise. If you are an Aliens fan,YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME. Also the additional campaign and both the reconnaissance and movie map packs are a must, they give the game a new sense of life an a change of scenery during gameplay.
I do not know what the gaming review companies were thinking when they rated this game, the online is fun as hell, the graphics are good there no gears of war, but not terrible in no way as bad as what the reviews say, if your an aliens fan you will love this game and if not then read this, it is like left for dead but better graphics good weapon customization a fun as hell multiplier especially if you have friends on your team. so don’t let the reviews discourage you is missing out on this game I honestly do not understand where all this negativity is coming from. if you don’t Believe me go to red box or blockbuster and try it out it is a fun game.
