I Like This Game
Good gameplay, great humor, and that all I can think of
Fun and time consuming, different. But still not sure why it’s rated M
This game is really fun. I wanted the Vita version but held out for the PS4. Basically it is a dating sim with some fun vampire fighting. When you teleport from zone to zone on the map it shows real ads from Akiba. The fighting is a little boring at the start because it takes so long to get a vampires clothes off but as you learn combos and team attacks you can quickly strip 3 vampires in no time. I’ve never been to Akihabara but playing this game makes me feel like I am there because it is mapped off of that area with ads playing in the background for JPop and games.
i love openess
Akiba’s trip is a truly great game, once you get past the initial shock of defeating enemies by stripping them, the story is well written and allows the player to affect the final outcome, the dialogue is well written but the cut-scenes could be improved. it is a game that i started with low expectations but the game with it’s love-able characters, great story and witty has put it in my all time top 5 games. the mark of a good game is that you are so immersed in the game that you do not wish it to end and when it does you can’t wait for the sequel and in my opinion Akiba’s trip fulfils both of those
I played this game over and over again, and even after I collected all of the trophies, I still wanted to play some more. With so many different combinations you can do as far as battle partners and endings, this game is AWESOME.At first, you may read the synopsis and go "…. Wait. What is this game?" I laughed too. I bought it to try it. I got addicted. There is nothing "risque" about this game: when you strip, it’s either down to underwear or, with special combos, down to nakedness but with large bursts of light that censor anything naughty. There is some language in it, but it’s definitely nothing a 15 year old hasn’t heard. There is also suggestive content (as, throughout the game, you choose how your character responds to things), but it’s nothing major. There is the ability to change your items and create super-level items from them. You need three pieces of armor (head, torso, legs) and a weapon. Depending on your level of difficulty that you’re playing on, normal drops from enemies (since you need to strip them to get them to disappear) go anywhere from 5-30. Collect enough of these and you can meld everything together to create items that go up to level 999.There are multiple difficulties for this game that run from easy all the way to otaku (or super-hard) mode. Each has a varying level of difficulty. As I blasted through the storylines on easy and collected trophies, I maxed out all of my armor and my weapon early on. Even with maxed out everything,.
OK- this was a vita game originally so it doesn’t really push your PS4 to the limits by any stretch, so if your definition of "good" game means big budget with movie like graphics- look elsewhere. However, if your definition is a good game is one that is whole lot of fun to play give this one a go. The combat is deceptively simple, but you will find that if you think you can just button mash your way through without applying some strategy you will find yourself doing a lot of retries. Well worth the money because even though the game is somewhat short, the replay value is high with increased difficulty levels and ending variants. For those that are worried that "stripping" premise is too risqué- at no point do you see anything in less than underwear and there is no sexual content or themes other than some innuendo in a few dialogue options. To be fair though you probably need to have at least some otaku sensibilities ( if you do not know what that means- assume you don’t) to fully appreciate the humor, characters, and setting.
comme d’écrit merci !
Originally bought this game thinking it would be awful but a fun awful, like an 80s B-Grade movie. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. I was playing this with a buddy for the first time, and we got hooked. We started off figuring we’d spend maybe 30 minutes with it, we spent 3 solid hours stripping everyone in sight and farming cash for upgrades. Now, nobody can mess with our legendary plastic bat! Absolutely great game, I love it. Definitely going to check out the anime now that I’ve been told there actually is an anime of it somewhere.
