cool
This game was one of my favorites, over a decade ago. I used to watch my step-brother play this for hours at a time and it never got old. Awhile back I came across an original PS1 in great condition and I knew I had to get it along with this game. There are so many different options, characters, and even endings you can choose from in this game which maxes out the replay value.
This game is a must for any game collector…Buy IT.The game starts off a little slow, however it builds…and the game is huge! The worlds are free roaming and very complete. some of the graphics are on par with 2003 graphics…nice full fight scenes. For its time it must have been one of the best! By todays standards it very playable and worth the time invested. This game was for the PS1. I tried it on one of my PSOne consoles and the load times were a little much…but playing it on the PS2 helps with this a great deal.I have not gotten to the second disk yet…so I do not know if I will suffer the fate some of the people, where the second disk of the retrolio collectors version does not work…in either case I hear that they will replace it at no cost…so I’ll deal with it if it comes to that. Will update this post if it does…
When I was a kid, this was my favorite game of all time. I got away from it, and never did finish it. Opening it up and playing again has brought me back, and I am surprised at the depth of the combat systems and the amount of strategy that goes into each encounter. The graphics have clearly dated, but the level of CGI and the amount of detail put into the game is unbelievable for its time. It is still a blast to play. Here’s hoping for a remake (ha), or a sequel (ha ha).
the CD was in a great condition! i would recommend to others!
I adore many of the characters, and do feel somehow very connected to this storyline, like there’s just something real about it. I mean there’s a few things that could be improved, but big deal. Its still a great game. We need sequels to this.
Chrono Cross: is the sequel to Chrono TriggerIt takes place 20 years after the events of Chrono triggerA guy name serge is pulled is into a another world andto say any more then that would start to spoil itSTORY: The story is great it’s a very deep storyline that ties nicely with the events of the first one It revels it self at a slower pace then most RPG which i find great it’s not shaved down your throat leaving no surprises There are 45 playable Chartres with there own small storyline I would like to go more into the story but that would involve same spoilers but the game is not battle driven it is story driven it has a really big heart but i’ll leave it there i’ll just say it is so much better then any Final fantasy gameBATTLE SYSTEM: At first it seems complicated but you understand within minutes one of the best things i like about it is you can only use magic and skills once per battle so lets say you want to use cure you have to equip more then one on your element grid and they’ve done away with MP points instead you have to build up points by attacking and the types of attacks weak strong and severe the stronger ones are a little harder to land but they build up a lot of points i’ll leave that part of the battle system there to hard to say with out giving the wrong expression like i did when i read reviews there are no random encounters you can avoid them if you want but they even made it better you can always run from battles first go [none of that crap where you ha.
It’s good sequel
I have been a fan of RPG and personally the best RPG games were on the PS1. It is a somewhat of a continuation to the SNES game Chrono Trigger.Graphics- Remember that is is a PS1 and nothing compared to PS3- great CG- one player- personally it took about 60 hours to beat. I like to take my time and find all the secretsCons- graphics, old gen
First off, this isn’t a game review, because most people buying this game have already played it and are trying to add it back to their collection. Obviously the game is amazing, but I wanted to clarify that the vender does not deserve all of the bad reviews they have received. I was trying to re-add this game to my collection and was looking for the black label version. I ordered the game and after reading the reviews I was a little nervous that I would be sent the Greatest Hits version of the game. I immediately emailed the vendor with my concerns, and he promptly emailed me back confirming it was the black label. I painstakingly waited until I saw a black label version at a reasonable price. The game was received after 2 days as promised and in even more pristine condition that i was expecting. I paid less than $20 for a like new game that anywhere else would have been close to $40. So I highly recommend this shop.
