i thought there were some things i found to be clever about this game you play as gomez you pick a destination all are located in the mansion & at the end of each one you fight a boss once thats accomplished you rescue a member of the family you myst rescue all of them before you rescue mortica before you get to her you have to fight the final boss he is the judge & for anyone who may or may not recall the movie version there was a judge in the 1991 motion picture addams family movie many of the elements are not based on the movie but it’s still a fun game to play it has alot of ways to get extra lives some of them are in hidden rooms or out in the open if it weren’t for the password feature this game would prove to be more difficult to finish one of the reasons for that is you energy meter is shaped like a heart 2 hits & you lose a life you can get 3 more hearts by battle certain bosses at the end of certain areas in the game you can max it to 5 hearts

The first of two Addams Family video games is actually very good and much better than the second. In this, a mysterious guest has entered the Addams household and kidnapped everyone, except Gomez who is left to search the many rooms he has never been before to find his beloved family. With excellent graphics for its time of release, and intense, entertaining levels, this will remain a great video game always.
“The Addams Family” for Super Nintendo has always been one of my favs for the game system. It’s as much fun as the movie! I have a Game Genie so I can put in a cheat that makes me invincible. I still have this game.Gomez Addams comes home only to find his entire family held hostage to bosses in several different parts of the house. You have to go through each level and defeat every monster along the way until you get to the bosses. Your strategies are golfballs to throw at enemies, a sword, a fezi-copter something else with a special Super Mario Bros twist that temporarily makes you invicible while you pick up valuables along the way including riches and extra lives. There are also special bonus bosses that you can defeat for extra hearts. Once you’ve saved everyone, you’ve beaten the game! If you have an old Super Nintendo that still works, buy this masterpiece online, and enjoy!
This is just a fun little run-and-jump platformer based loosely on the Addams Family movie (though Gomez looks much more like John Astin than Raul Julia).The Addams Family house has become (more) infested with monsters, an evil plot is afoot to steal the Addams’ fortune, and most of the family has been spirited away to back corners of the house and grounds by huge monsters. Gomez ventures out alone to jump on the heads of monsters, avoid obstacles, solve switch-puzzles, and locate secret passages on his way to rescuing them one by one. Once everyone else is free, Lurch opens the passageway to the treasure vault and you can go rescue Morticia.Addams Family is decently long, has good controls, and features bright and colorful graphics. It’s terrifically fun, and if the stages are a little hard, well, you sure do get a lot of extra lives.
For those of you who love and cannot get enough of the Addams Family this is a video game that does not dissapoint, for those of you who loved the gameplay of Mario I highly recommend this to also. This game is fun and the fact that you choose which levels you go to,and powerups are abundant in it makes this a stellar game! the level designs are awesome and the enemies certainly are unlike any other (I mean that in the best way possible)! Some people may think this is a generic mario style game in an Addams Family Universe. I would disagree with them because it is a solid stomp platformer and both games are amazing in their own rights! you do have the chance to get various powerups and weapons such as balls to bounce and hit enemies with and of course the rapier! All in all, this is a highly enjoyable game which has not faded with time! 10/10
