Great intro! Took me a while to get the hang of it but once I got it. It was awesome!
expected a little more from game but did what it was designed to do, feels like the previous games in series
I was glad to get this product at a low price! I have been following the ace combat sires from the very beginning, was delivered on time and cant wait to see what Ace combat has in store for me now ;)
it’s kind of a bad game due to it forcing the leapfrog mechanics. It was fun when it wasn’t mandatory though
I was really enjoying the game until I was forced on a mission flying a helicopter with the controls switched-up for no apparent reason. Other than that it’s been a blast and looks really good.
I played this game and actually really liked it. I wasn’t planning on writing a review because I don’t have too much experience with flight games, but I felt compelled to after seeing lots of hate online.I’ll start off by saying that one of my favorite games as a kid was Air Combat on the PS1 which I beat countless times. Many years later, I played Ace Combat X (PSP) which I also greatly enjoyed despite it having a short and bizarre story. I also at some time played Flight Simulator X which I found boring after the first hour. I’m a fan of flying around, customizing my plane and weaponry based on the mission, and blowing enemies out of the air, not necessarily having the realism of accurately pressing every button in the cockpit. And that’s exactly what you’ll get from this game.** Let me just say this flat-out: IF YOU GET THIS GAME, DONT EXPECT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X REALISM **It seems like people online were expecting a further level of realism and that was the biggest complaint about the game. There is an option to turn on advanced controls, but the learning curve even for those isn’t very long. The game is easily accessible, but that could be a con for seasoned Ace Combat vets. This game has many fun dogfights and flying around is a blast. From doing loops in the air to get behind your opponent to trying to get a lock on a turning bogey, the game is great. It’s really fun just to fly up into the air and then nose dive down toward the city to swoop in behind an enemy for the ki.
Played it once. Sucked. Now it sits in the dvd tower and stares at me. HOWEVER, the shop shipped very very fast, so I give the experience a 4 star. This game is horse manure though.
Love it stuck on the hardest difficultly with spooky.
EXCELENTE, GRACIAS
I do not get the 2 and a half star overall rating. I actually enjoyed this game and was saddened when it was time for it to be returned. The problem with most flight games is the learning curve…this game seems to be a bit easier than other flight games, making it more enjoyable for me. This is one of the few games that I bothered to play through to the finish…I enjoyed it that much. There is also a nice mix of different aircrafts to pilot, from fighters to helicopters to bombers adding a nice bit of variety to the game. After finishing the campaign, you can do all the missions again in 3 player online co op and there is multiplayer, which does not require an online code to play. The only thing that can get frustrating at times are the DSM mode when you pursue an enemy…it is hard to keep it focused. Overall, a good game.
