I purchased this video game for my 5 year old son. He loves the game and I must say I am surprised I am into it. The game has many of the characters I grew up watching, and although it is a child’s game, it is very challenging, even for me. You have to be very creative and think outside the box to clear a stage. It is not too methodical, and gives the child a chance to free play on certain stages. If you play along, you can talk your child through the game. I am sure a 7 or 8 year old can play this solo with no problems.
I got this game on release day. It is a lot like every other LEGO game, but this one is Marvel heroes. There is nothing better than breaking LEGO bricks as the Incredible Hulk.I did have a couple issues with this. I had the game lock up on 3 occasions and the only way to get out was to shut off my PS3, one a couple other occasions, my team members were able to get stuck in places they shouldn’t have been able to, and that prevented me from finishing the stage.Overall it’s a decent game. The main story lasted around 11 hours, and there was a lot more stuff to do. I didn’t get 100% on this, but I will probably pick it up later if it drops to $20.
My husband and I have played many of the Lego games already, since they’re some of the few co-op games you can play without fighting each other or having to get online to open the doors to temptation with others. (I know of two couples who met while playing video games online, despite the ‘loving’ and ‘dedicated’ relationships those folks were already in at the time. You’ve been warned!)This game is as fun as all the others, but better because you get to play as so many different Marvel characters. As you increase in levels, you are automatically equipped with new characters who have different powers, etc. It keeps it interesting.Sometimes, it takes a few minutes before you realize what you’re supposed to be doing in a level, but once you do, it’s fun trying to get things to happen properly. My husband and I are not experts, mind you. Savvy players might fly through this game, but we don’t.I think this game is suitable for novices between the ages of 8 and 30.
My son loves this game. Since he is 5, he usually always calls on someone in the family to help him through difficult areas. This game he could do! Although challenging, my son could maneuver through this games for hours (if I let him)! My teen likes it because each character has different abilities. She feels like there are more ways to play and does not feel as bored with it (as she has with other lego games). I also felt it was a very fair price.
The only lego game I had played before this one was Lego Harry Potter. Lego games have come a long way in terms of graphics and gameplay has been moderately streamlined. Since we only play once every couple weeks or once a month, we do tend to get stuck in parts where we don’t remember how the buttons work or powers that are available. This has been helped a little bit through better indications of what to do, but we still encounter occasional stumping locations that really shouldn’t happen. I love the game, its graphics, its humor (some characters aren’t smart enough to solve puzzles, and playing as the Hulk is chaotic). Definitely a fun way to enjoy the Marvel universe!
We love, love the LEGO game series. We own every single one that has been released. I had extremely high hopes for this particular title as we really enjoy the Marvel franchise and playing within the world sounded fun.The game would be a five-star review if it weren’t for the split-screen of the co-op play. We rarely play alone – it’s always been a family game. And while the split-screen in other titles hasn’t been perfect (being pulled towards the other person can be frustrating), they’ve been manageable. In this version, though, you can be standing right next to each other and the screen remains split, and often at a weird angle. It makes it more difficult to play as it’s very distracting.I would still recommend this game, especially if you plan to play solo. But I hope that for their next attempt they revert to the old split-screen option or come up with something better, as it’s the main reason we purchase the LEGO games.
Really fun game; really is good for all ages; simple, clean, fun and everything is Legos. The cut scenes are cute and the animations of the characters while playing them are fun. Great thing to play with smaller (like seven y.o.) children if you want an entertaining and clean game to play. Lego games are the best.
I loved the Lego DC Superheroes game and couldn’t wait until Traveler’s Tales gave the Marvel Universe the Lego treatment. They did not disappoint. All my favorites are included here, from the iconic (Iron-Man, Hulk, Thor) to the lesser known greats (Black Bolt, Groot). Largely uses the same simple gameplay as previous Lego offerings, but with a few power-based tweaks here and there. Good graphics, awesome sound. Hours of fun.
I’m a fan of Marvel (and D.C) super heroes and Lego and I didn’t think TT Games could come up with a better game than Batman 2. I was so wrong. lego Marvel Super Heroes is as fantastic as Batman 2. It has every imaginable Marvel super hero. Ever since I’ve watched The Avengers, I’ve been wanting a game where all the Super Heroes unite and TT Games provides me with that in the form of mini Lego super heroes! I’m a few hours into the game, and so far my six-year-old nephew and I are loving it! Normally, he hates playing any game by himself and nags me to play with him. For the first time, he played it without me. I honestly gawked at him and told him to wait for me, since I also wanted to play it. He didn’t wait. The graphics look absolutely gorgeous and this game has all the charm and personality like the other Lego titles. It’s very child-friendly and has mild, cartoonish violence. You play a plethora of super heroes all in one game. My inner-child is over the moon! You start off with the Hulk and Iron Man and then you’re later joined by Spidey. I thoroughly enjoyed making the ground shake with my massive thumps and throwing cars and massive objects into the air while playing as The Hulk. It was also fun transforming into Bruce Banner and then transforming into the Hulk (whenever you wish) while pressing the Triangle Button. My nephew had a blast flying through the air as Iron Man and checking out his powers. You’re introduced to a new set of super heroes with each upcoming mi.
I was debating whether I should write a lengthy review detailing the glory of this game, or whether I should be brief and to the point. I choose the latter. "Lego: Marvel Super Heroes" is a perfect game. If you like the Lego franchise, and you like superheroes, AND you like roaming around New York city in free play being Lego superheroes, this game is literally heaven for you. Buy it immediately and be happy!
