Has enough new content to justify buying the game if you have already bought a Buzz Quiz game with the buzzers. I was excited to be able to play with up to eight players, however I was disappointed to find out that most of the round types are restricted to the games for up to 4 players. With 5-8 players the only rounds are point-builder and fastest-finger type of rounds.

First note that this game requires the Buzz Controllers to play it.I initially purchased Buzz Quiz TV Bundle with the 4 controllers then a year later I purchased Buzz Quiz World again with 4 controllers so now I have 8 total controllers and it is awesome! When the family gets together at my house it is 90% certain we are sparking this game up.This is a great standby game that you break out when you have lots of people coming over visiting or for a party or something. I would say the game is definitely boring if you are just playing it by yourself, but if you are going to do that then you are probably playing it online at least with other people across the globe and provided you have good internet connection and it is registering your responses then it could be fun.The most fun though is playing with all the people in your living room. Sometimes for even more fun after everyone creates their character (and the key here is to create as crazy a character as possible) we all turn in our controllers and mix them all up in a pile and then take a new one so that when the game starts you try to figure out what character you have and then don’t tell anyone once you find out. It is so crazy then as people try to figure out who is winning. Some great times and big laughs doing that as side entertainment!There are also quite a few downloadable quiz packs available to add even more questions to the game. I wish they would continue putting those out though. It seems they have stoppe.
Everyone including myself enjoys it with the joystick! Some many topics and rounds to choose from to make it more interesting!
This game is a good way to get my wife and kids to sit down and have a fun night together.
I have played the older version of buzz with my friends many times. We find this newer version of buzz to be more fun, we didn’t know about the new features where the host will say your name and that there would be new types of games. I recommend this to anyone who has tried the first buzz game or anyone who has heard of buzz. It’s a blast!
This game is lots of fun for the whole family. You can have up to 8 people play. You can select your name and have the game say it during play. It also is very intelligent with its comments and "play by play", light heartedly ribbing the players for their mistakes and congratulating them for their successes. For example, "Mike! For someone who picked this category, you sure don’t seem to know very much about it." and "Maria! There is just no stopping you today!". Good mix of hard and easy questions, lots of different variations on the games throughout.
We love the Buzz! games. It provides us with hours of family fun as well as fun with friends. We bought this game to compliment the one we gave my sister’s family so that we can try out the competition sofa vs. sofa. Haven’t done that yet, but are hoping it works out. We are just awaiting our buzzers in another shipment.
I bought this because I really enjoyed "Buzz! TV" and the advertisements for this one made it look incredible. The ads said that Buzz would say your name during the game. He does, but it’s the name you select for your character from a list of pre-programmed names. The selection of characters is still too small, and the quiz questions are limited. I must add, however, that you can download quizzes others have written and you can write your own as well. 4 of 5 stars for me.
