Perhaps Biker Mice From Mars may not have had the historic impact and legacy of the Mario Kart franchise, which began on the SNES. But this 1994 racer, based around the TV cartoon of the same name, has some interesting characteristics of its own.The series itself was a cartoon that followed in the vain of Ninja Turtles, and did a decent job distinguishing itself from the herd – sure enough, Konami even opted to produce it after their slew of TMNT games. On the other hand, it’s a racing game, so don’t expect any classic TMNT style arcade action. The similarities to Mario Kart are there – this is racing with cartoonish characters, weapons, and courses that don’t look much like your typical F-1 race track.There are 6 different characters – a more limited selection than that of Super Mario Kart – but rather than have characters in pairs by weight class, each character’s vehicle has their own distinct abilities. The three hero characters – Throttle, Modo and Vinnie – all ride bikes. Throttle is a balanced racer; Modo has a higher top speed but doesn’t accelerate or take corners as well as Throttle; and Vinnie is the slowest racer of them all but has a very high acceleration rate and is the best handler. The flaw with all of them is that they lose speed over bumpy surfaces or water – and this can be remedied by their ability to pop a wheelie. The villains all ride slightly different vehicles. Limburger’s hovercraft is very fast and accelerates the fastest, but it handles the worst.
I absolutely LOVE my BMFM games. The game itself is for one to two player racing from the streets of Chicago, to islands, sewers and even space bases. There are 4 different difficulty levels along with 3 types of racing: main race, battle, or trial. For anyone who loves racing and the Biker Mice, this is the game to get!

this is a game i played as a kid back when the show was still on the air……mye and my cuzins/freinds would spend hours on hours raceing. i was always modo and the where ether vinnie or throttle. it is 1 of our fav games out there as far as raceing goes. 6 charecters….25 tracks and endless fun.
