Fun and exciting

WWE AllStars is fun to play wrestling game with colorful graphics and filled with a who’s who of WWE. All the legends are here from Hulk Hogan to Andre the Giant and after a hiatus from WWE products, Macho Man Randy Savage. Current superstars John Cena, Triple H and CM Punk also appear and players can take turns bashing each other with fists, kicks and chairs.While AllStars will appeal to a large crowd, it is not as in depth as Legends of Wrestlemania or the Smackdown vs Raw series. You are able to create your own wrestler, unlock alternate costumes and arenas but the customization is not too deep, most of the roster is unlock by playing the “Fantasy Warfare” line and it is nice to see such a wide display of superstars in one game.Game play is straight forward, beat up your opponent and hit your finisher for the win but there are some techincal issues, collsion detection is a bit off as the AI Opponent can climb the turnbuckles and not get knocked off even while you are spamming the strike buttons but once you attempt the same move, the AI instantly knocks you over without any trouble. Even on Rookie (easy) mode, the AI can offer a stiff challenge (here’s looking at you Hulk Hogan in the steel cage bout) and it is not uncommon for the AI to have no energy but make a miracle comeback to finish you off. This game brings back memories of past games (SNES/Genesis Royal Rumble, NES Wrestling Challenge) so it is nice the game brings back some frustration for a new generation, in a.

I ordered it for my son who is 34, for Christmas. He was excited to pay it with his brother, reminiscing about when they watched the famous wrestlers on TV as kids. My son was thrilled with the realistic animations and found the controls very easy to use. He was having a blast. I was impressed by the likeness of the wrestlers. I don’t think the package does a good job describing all of the characters… a TON of top names.

I bought the game for my husband and seven year old son. They both love the game and love playing against each other. Price was fantastic!
