She is only 8 and this game has helped her with spelling and grammar. She plays it with my wife which my wife does not play too many games. I think overall the game is well established and does it job plus some….
Fun fun fun. Just like the TV show. We all love it.
My kids thought his name was "Patsy Jack." It should be. It can be a bit unwieldy pecking away at the letter keys with a Wii controller, but it’s a good game and plays basically just like the show.
This game is a lot of fun…. We had a great time with it…
The game plays like a video game and like Jeopardy it has its quirks but it is still fun. If you want to be able to play like on TV then you need to get on the real game and not play the video of a game. If you want to be able to ask for virtual consonants, buy virtual vowels and win virtual money then you will enjoy this game.
I have always loved to play Wheel Of Fortune. I remember playing it on the Commodore 64, and then for the first Nintendo. Wow this game has come a long way. Its a really fun game to play. If its just you playing(which in this case it is only me playing because I only have 1 remote), you can play with computer players, or you can play by yourself. Pat explains to you that when you play by yourself, you have 7 turns a round. If you guess a wrong letter, solve the puzzle wrong, or land on lose a turn or bankrupt, you lose a turn. Once you used all 7 of your turns, the round is over and you move onto the next round. When you win the bonus round, you unlock different stage settings and new cloths and stuff. I love how real it looks, and for once you actually have Pat in the game. I think every version always had just Vanna. Its pretty cool that you have Charlie too. Vanna will explain everything to you from what the toss up is to when you land on a free play space. This game is addicting and I’ve been playing for over a week for at least an hour when I play and I havent gotten a repeat puzzle yet. I love how you can spin the wheel with the remote. I only have a few minor complaints hence the 4 stars:Being that this is for the Wii…..I thought they would have branched out. I hate being referred to as player one. With this kind of system, Pat should be referring to us by name. I also think it would have been cool if you could put in where you are from, what you do etc etc.
This is such a fun game, the format is very similar to the TV show. There are 3 toss-ups during a game, a Jackpot round, a Prize Puzzle, and ultimately a final puzzle for the winner. Along the way you’ll pick up prizes, land on special spaces, and probably go bankrupt a few times. The Wii remote controls for this game are easy to learn (no nunchuck accessory needed). Gameplay is quite simple – during you turn you can spin the wheel and guess a letter, buy a vowel, or solve the puzzle. The graphics are average, but they suffice for a game show like this. Also, as you progress in the game you unlock new game locations – you can play in places like Washington DC, Hollywood, New York, etc.One thing the developers did right is allow you to choose any number of players (between one and three). In previous iterations of Wheel I had played, you had no choice but three players – that meant that if you didn’t have three real participants, the computer would automatically fill in any additional spots. In this game, you have the option to turn off AI computer players, even if you only have one or two real players.*Check out my Listmania list of favorite Wii games: http://www.retrolio.com/lm/R2T6T3TQYQAV8Y
This game is a lot of fun. The graphics are definitely a reflection of the time it came out in, but that doesn’t detract from the fun!
Good game. Sharpen up your knowledge.
