This game is a lot of fun. I got it before Wii Fit so I started playing using the regular controls. There is lots of stuff going on in this game, lots of side stories and activities that you only get to if you talk to the characters in the game. It almost feels like the real thing!The Wii fit balance board enhances the game because it gets your whole body into it, just like real skiiing. I have an 8 year old that loves it and does really well.You use your Mii’s in this game which is always a plus! It’s probably one of my favorite games, right up there with Wii Fit!
Although I haven’t played this game myself, I bought it for my sister’s family who have all given it 5 stars. My youngest niece, who is 5, picked up how to play in a snap and loves that she can fall down on the hill without any actual bruises. My brother-in-law, who is actually and avid skier, also enjoys the variety of courses and the tricks he can do. My 11 year old nephew has become obsessed with gaining skill points and the whole family can play against each other. Its tough to find a game that a whole family with a whole range of skill levels can enjoy. This was one of the best Christmas presents I was lucky enough to find for them.
My boys (ages 7 & 9) love this game. They love the games that they unlocked such as Search and Rescue/Orienteering. They are always laughing and having a great time while playing this! Plus, the price is right for as much fun as it is! Definitely a great game to add to your collection!
We Ski is a snowy wonderland filled with slopes and mini-games! Everything is fun, easy and exciting. From dressing your character to going down Lion Peak, you’ll always have fun, unless you’re a sore loser.
I really like this game. My daughter, who is 5, and I play it using the balance board. It is helping her with balance and direction. I don’t think I’d like it without the board. The scenery is beautiful! I enjoy all of the little extras in there, too…you never know where you’re going to find them. BUT, the free ski at night is the best and makes me miss the slopes.
This is one fun game. You can use your own Mii characters that you have created and head for the slopes. Handles very well too. It feels just like you are really skiing and is great fun. Love this!
We have been playing Wii ski for a week and our family is having a lot of fun with it. I also give the game high marks for the younger players. My son is 7 and is having a blast playing – and seems to navigate all of the slopes pretty well. I particularly like the games where he has to find different children on the slopes. He is playing and also having to use his memory and focus skills at the same time.I would have rated it higher if the balance board worked even reasonably well, but it doesn’t. I almost think they shouldn’t market it this way in the first place. I probably would have been happier with the game overall if I wasn’t so disappointed in the balance board tie in, but we did buy it because we have Wii Fit and thought we’d get the same experience. We were wrong.
We ski is a fun skiing game that lets you explore the mountain, run races, and find clues along the way. It almost feels like you’re really skiing. I don’t have the balance board, so I just use the Wii nunchuk and controller. I’m sure it’s more realistic with the balance board. It’s nice you can use your own Mii, or create a character in the game. The game is more fun if you play with more than one person. I haven’t tried any other skiing game for the Wii, so not sure how it compares to others. But this one is pretty good.
I have been playing this game with the remote for almost a week now and have loved it. Up to 4 players, limited not only by remote but also numchuck. This is the only game I own that has required the use of 4 numchucks and I only have 2, so for now its just a 2-player game. I have never been able to ski but have always wanted to and I love this game. I am now playing it with the balance board and it makes the game that much more fun. Do note that only one player can play when the balance board is in use. It is a blast being able to shift from side to side and actually move the direction you lean. Great price, great game. This game is a lot more fun and much better than the two ski activities that come with the board. Free skate nine course and get rated on them, and compete in races, salom, search and rescue, and much more.
