I purchased this for my 11yr old son, at his request. The game arrived earlier than predicted, which was a nice surprise.He enjoys the game, and it has kept his attention even though he has been playing it for several months now. I also bought Lego Lord of the Rings for my 10 yr. old, but while he enjoyed playing it, by the end of the first few weeks, he had completed all challenges and was ready to move on. For the money and the play-ability, I would chose this one over Lord of the Rings.
This game is good if you know what to expect. This game is a strategy game more along the lines of “Age of Empires.” I purchased it for my 5 year-old thinking it would be like the other Lego games. He can’t play it, but I am enjoying it. I will have to get him another game to make up for it.
