I liked this very much
Son saved up his money from working in the yard. Wanted to spend it on a game (hey he’s only 11). Searched and searched, then settled on Tron Evolution. He loves the graphics and finds the game play to be challenging yet entertaining. Overall: Great Game!
i really liked the game sense I am a major in art I really liked the graphics in it I really did thanks
I purchased the game because I am a huge Tron fan. Even though my opinion may be based on my love for this series, it is a great game. The plot and story line helps connect some of the dots between the two movies The game itself is really short if you are not playing on insane mode but it is still fun. Going platinum with the trophies is not hard at all and there are tons of online players too. I have not figured out how to actually use the move controller, quite difficult since the game just tells you when to use it not how to start or switch to it. Button sequences are basic easy for everyone to handle. Also even though you lose your map halfway through the game navigation is generally obvious. Overall it is a great buy for fans, hopefully Disney will green light the third movie.
We haven’t played this game too long yet, but I can tell you this so far:Pros: It’s a "free run" game with lots of parkour. The game looks a lot like the movie, has the same music and all. It will make you want to watch the movie all over again.Cons: The controls are mapped and applied differently, and feel a bit cumbersome and take some getting used to.I’ll update more as we play more of the game.
I cannot understand how this game gets such passionately negative reviews. I am a fan of the original movie, been playing Tron games since the arcade in 1982, and this game fits right in. It looks just like the movie and you play the games that are in the movie. If you liked the movie, you’ll like this game.Story mode is pretty fun and definitely immersive in the Tron world, but it’s the online mode where this game really shines. You can play light cycles online and, to my knowledge, there is no other form of “combat” remotely similar to this. It’s a lot of fun and, once again, completely accurate to the movie. If you play this on a ps3 online, look me up, I am ImmortalManth.
I bought this Tron game for my grandson. The movie is fantastic! Playing the game is a big thrill for any gamer. He will love it!
I was excited to pick this up as a new entry in the Tron universe. Tron 2.0 was interesting, but deviated (in my mind) from the true Tron experience by turning it into a first-person shooter (the original Tron wasn’t about guns!).So how does it fare? If you’re familiar with Mirror’s Edge and Prince of Persia for traversing your environment as well as God of War for combat, you’re in familiar territory. When I say God of War, I use it quite loosely as the combat in God of War is quite visceral and visually stunning whereas Tron utilizes more stilted movements and variations on a single weapon (the disc, whether it be the disc bomb, etc.); there are combos, to be sure, but not overly creative compared to God of War. The game is not ground-breaking, but instead draws upon familiar themes. You’ll feel at home. Other Tron-signature moments occur in the game in the form of the Light Cycle and the Tank. Both are very well-done and are “true” to the movie interpretations. Some reviews that I have read online complain about the rather bland aesthetic as well as some game play elements (the tank is a “slow, lumbering” vehicle). If you’re not familiar with the movie, then you won’t appreciate that the game designer’s attempt in keeping in line with the actual Tron universe. If you’re looking for a phenomenal, game-changing ride then don’t look here. It is, as I’ve mentioned, a parkour-style game with a rather basic combat system that pays homage to the Tron geek in me more than.
Do you like the Original TRON? How about TRON: LEGACY? Would you like to find out a little more detail about the middle while performing a lil’ parkour? Then this game is definately for you.TRON: Evolution is the story that fills the time between the 1982 version of TRON and the new TRON: Legacy movies. It begins with an amazing video sequence and great sound that are as amazing as the movie. The game play, while not quite as amazing as the intro sequence still wows as you run through different levels avoiding Recognizer’s and Clu’s henchman while avoiding falling to deresolution. The most challenging and dissapointing aspect of this game is the common downfall of many Disney adventure games; the camera angles are difficult. As you run on narrow platforms, fallen pillars, and engage in hand-to-hand combat you often find yourself in a first person perspective or seeing partial sequences of your battle as you are block by walls. As you progress through the game the camera control will be come second nature and while annoying at times, is not as bad as when you initially begin.Another caution is that you are buying an action RPG style of game. While you do not take turns striking, you do enter rooms in which all exits seal and you engage in action sequences battling Clu’s henchmen. This is nothing like the original tron arcade games. While you do have one on one identity disc battles, you do not engage in lightcycle battles. The light cycle is used as mode of transportation.Overa.
Good storyline. Decent gameplay. Immersive atmosphere.
