As soon as I bought Tiger Woods 2005, i popped open my XBOX disc drive and put in the game. While it was loading, I noticed something- the graphics were pretty much the same! I noticed this during gameplay as well, and I was disappointed that EA did not make much of an effort to upgrade the franchise’s weak point. Gameplay also is pretty similiar to 2004, although Tiger Proofing is a neat feature that allows you to make your own course. If you already own TWPT04, I would not recommend this game, but for golf fans looking for a videogame should buy this one, not junk like Outlaw Golf.
The first few matches are decieving in this game. I won them easily but as I progressed the matches became much more challenging. I am presently stuck but it is fun being there. Great game.
Love it so far. Haven’t really played that much but played a quick game and is great. Will review again if needed
Tiger, Tiger Tiger… This game is somewhat of a letdown? I mean – there is so much more to the game that we don’t get to experience… where is the Phil “I have man boobs” Mickelson getting up tiger for not having the best equipment… Where is Tigers smokingly hot wife? Where is john Daley throwing down a six pack before the third tee? Where is the option to use the broomstick putter? I mean – come on EA – give me 30 minutes with your design team and we will have much more realistic golf game.If I had my way – I would have player commentary… I know they are professionals – but when you shank the ball – you let out one of 300 expletives… this needs to be in the game. “But they are professionals – they would not do that”. Please – they are human – and they swear. How funny would it be for tiger to let out a few curse words when his three iron sends the ball into the brush?… Let me answer for you… VERY!There should be a “cough” button to hit whenever you opponent has a pressure shot. Another thing would be able to walk through the line of the guys lining up the putt. How fun would it be to able to get tiger to perform the old “foot wedge” out of the rough? Let me answer for you… VERY!.That being said – the game was a joy to play with my friends James “the Aussie” and Joe “I break things”. Yes we played against each other – yes you had to have a shot when you lost the hole and – yes our game got worse. Two things about Australians I didn’t know that this game taught.
Tiger Woods 2005 is worth buying and or upgrading. Please note I don’t have LIVE and I think it’s worth it. I bought and rated LINKS last year higher because of the realism. However it got boring really fast without the live. Yes buying gold sponsored nose rings and tones of other junk at least gives you an incentive to play a lot. I do appreciate them adding LIVE without forgetting about the people that don’t have it. Too many games are just geared for LIVE play.FIVE REASONS TO UPGRADE1. Tournament PlayI liked the addition of the PGA tour Calendar last year. But it pissed me off that in 2004 you could not play multiple players in tournaments like you could in 2003. The tournaments got boring quick smoking the competition. But now you can go through the season with a friend (up to 4) and play tournaments. You kill the computer guys still but you can have tourney parties with friends. I am sure live is just as good because you can pick competition.2. Less Face TimeNow I don’t like when people complain that it’s not like real golf. There has to be some arcade fun in a game. If you’re looking for real golf buy a set of clubs and go out and play. One of the arcade aspects of the game is that you can spin the ball after your shot. I think the spin element ads to the game play after a shot. It keeps your attention during the entire shot. It seemed like in 2003 – 2004 they would show you the player reaction almost till the ball landed. It’s seems this year they are following the.

This game is very very good because the graphics are really good, it has a lot of options and you can create your own career. It has a lot of cool players and lots of good unlockables like courses and players. You can also make courses with lots of strange colors and weird things. There are also tournaments for you to play. You can also make your own people and design their clothes, pants and shoes. The players look very realistic and they’re very cool looking. There are also players who are not professionals that you can play with. The players reactions to when they hit the ball are very good like, if they hit a bad shot they will slam their club or if they hit a good shot they’ll smile. The crowd also makes a lot of cool noises and applauds a lot of shots. There is one more thing which is the commentary. The announcers announce everything very well and sound very realistic.

I really liked the ’04 T.W. game, but the ’05 is a little more fun! Better courses and more options to upgrade my player.
Having bought and played the EA Sports Tiger Woods series since it came out I have a pretty good idea of what is to be expected. I loved TW 2004 and played that game until the disc starting smoking and caught on fire. For all the people who want to buy a golf game and don’t have TW 2004 you should buy this game especially since you can buy 2005 for thirty bucks now. If you have 2004 and also have Xbox live you should buy 2005 since the online play is great. If you don’t have Xbox live I will break down what I like and dislike about the game.What I like about TW 2005 -First of all the basic controls are the same and gameplay is almost exactly the same – they did add Tiger vision but I will get back to that later. The graphics are similar and the courses are similar. There are more golfers to choose from – and I am very excited that Natalie Gulbis is added again this year because she is beautiful and she adds alot to the LPGA tour. There are better clothes this year, and more sponsorshipsare available in your PGA tour season. Also they added Tiger-proofing, I haven’t really gotten really in depth into that so I can’t say to much about it but it looks pretty cool.What I dislike about TW 2005 -There is basically one thing. The game is too easy. This is where the Tiger-vision comes into play – there is no skill in putting now. They should make the Legends harder. The PGA tour season is too easy.
