I am crazy for hidden object games, but I am totally hooked on this 3-match game. I have played it at least daily for the last month……Suggest you give it a try!!!
Overall an addictive game but some of the levels are extremely difficult to master. This could make it frustrating for younger players. It provides hours upon hours of entertainment and three games for this price is a wonderful bonus.
I already had the JQII on my pc and I like having it on my DS as well. In addition, there is also a Mah Jong game (with many options for play), and a JQ solitaire, also w/many options, and that’s the “trio”. Very nice graphics, well-made, just a nice little game package, well worth the price.
I have the Jewel Quest II game on my laptop and enjoy it a great deal. The Jewel Quest II is one of my favorites. It’s a game that involves a lot of shape moving to line up three of a kinds, with a little bit of skill and a little bit of luck. It doesn’t really get challenging until the 4th section of games on the PC. I find that it is more enjoyable to play on the PC because of its size.I looked at the solitaire game for my grandmother because I wanted to get her a DS and a solitaire game for the nursing home — again no luck. She said it was too hard to see what the cards were. So far, I haven’t had any luck with finding her a handheld solitaire. I know she’s going to need a laptop but I’m trying to avoid that. But for my purposes the card games were fine. The mah jong tiles are a little difficult as well. They are terribly small with the quality of the screen and the picture on the ds. If I hadn’t played them on the PC first, this probably would not have been a problem.I do like the games, and they are fine for travel or while I am not able to use the PC. And yes, they are very addictive. That is why I tried to find a travel-sized edition.
Sometimes you never know what you are going to get when it comes to these games, but this one is good. It has some variety and it continues to get more difficult. I like that. I have been playing it off and on for weeks now and have not finished any of the three types of games yet. They levels just keep coming.
This was well worth the investment. Each of the three games are so addicting, will keep you entertained for months. I’ve played it everyday since I purchased it.
A
This game combines three different ones that were release separately into one great package.Jewel Quest Expeditions is really Jewel Quest II that was released for the PC. It expanded on the original Jewel Quest by allowing you to earn “Lion” coins, which you can then use to help you clear boards. These become absolutely invaluable in later stages, as to beat the game 100% you have to go through it FIVE TIMES. The sound is translated perfectly from the PC version, and of course the graphics do suffer just a little bit on the DS.Jewel Quest Solitiare is a direct port of the PC version. It’s a lot of fun to play, and you unlock the Expert difficulty level once you finish the game, and yes, it’s very frustrating. :) Again, the graphics can make things a little hard on your eyes but it’s a good package. Finally, you have MahJongg Quest (I believe this was the 3rd release in the series). This sends you through a series of challenges and is also quite a lengthy game.Overall, you can’t find a much better value for the DS then the $19.99 that this game will bring you.
Love this game. I’ve been playing it constantly for over a month and I’m not done yet…worth much more than what you pay for it.
I purchased this because I love the game Tripeaks, as well as Jewel Quest and the Mahjong was a nice bonus.I have not put this game down since I purchased it, it has rapidly become my favorite DS game. I can play it for hours. The Tripeaks boards start easy but get progressively harder. I had to skip two of the boards, I never could solve them. Once you complete the first book (which is actually the 2nd part of the story, shame I have no idea what the first was – but no fear, they are releasing 1, 2 & 3 in 1 game!) you go to a 2nd book of puzzles to complete. There are just under 100 card games to complete w/jewel boards. After that, you can replay them with a twist, you are awarded a silver trophy which gives you the same game, but with new features, it appears there is also room for a gold trophy (I hope), but I just started the silver trophy.I highly recommend this game, you will get your moneys worth!
