first off i wasnt expecting a whole lot because of the negative reviews. being a long time survival horror fan….i LOVED this game!! ive played a lot of others in the genre and enjoyed them even though they "sucked". had a blast with this and got it at a great price. best game in the genre in years!
I’m only about an hour in, but it only took about fifteen minutes to get a squeak out of me. After that it was just one surprise or scare after another. Extremely fun to play in the dark with a group of people taking turns! Good stuff! I went into the game expecting the same old "horror", but was pleasantly (by pleasantly I mean nervous and flinching as I walk around every corner) surprised! Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a thrilling game that will get your heart beating and your blood a pumpin!
I’m glad they made a game like this. It’s a mix between classic resident evil and metal gear. It focuses more on being patient and careful than running around killing things.
Don’t play this game if you’re easily scared. I’m not sure which is more fun, playing the game or watching my wife scream every two minutes because the game makes her so jumpy! It’s a fun play, it’s very hard so I can definitely see being easily frustrated with it. Overall a really well put together game though that I would recommend.
My son played this while I spectated. He’s 26 & I’m 42 and at times we both screamed like little girls. He really enjoyed how the game played. He’s really into the mechanics of a game. I liked the twists and turns in the story. We both loved this game.

After seeing many advertisements leading up to it’s release I decided that I would treat myself for once. So glad that I bought this product!!! Awesome game, has given me hours of fun. Shipment was also awesomely fast. One of the Best games that I’ve bought in a long, long time.
As soon as I got my mail I knew my game just arrived as expected. It came with everything, of course, the case was new as if I bought at any game store. The disk was clean and new that I notice. When I started to enjoy and play the game it played through it with no problems. By the way, I bought this game for the Xbox 360 console, not the Xbox One or pc. For the rate of this game, I give a 10 out of 10 so suspenseful and SCARY at the same time creepy. Also please note this game is very graphical with great detail gore and I DO NOT recommend for people who can’t handle blood or any related gore images. PLEASE!!! for all parents this game is not for children. I strictly advise this is for the age and mind for an 18 and older. I would recommend for others that are older than 18 only if they aren’t squeamish.

I waited a good bit for this game to drop in price and late twenties in cost is a much more satisfying price factor versus sixty these days.Patience is the key and resist the graphics and temptation trailer Also because the newer games of today have a habit of being short in game play time enjoyment.Not The Evil Within though…it’s surprisingly a long game for it’s intensity.Think Resident Evil in a gothic Lovecraft vibe and a more classic horror film feel.Definitely a game to play with the lights out and hoping for a future franchise addition riding with Silent Hill
