We love this game! However, this is the third one we have bought on top of the numerous ball replacements we have purchased. It just doesn’t hold up, but my kids love it, so we keep getting them!
Put it in backyard, played few times. It’s harder than it looks on video, especially for a kid of 7 years old. It probably will not be my choice of taking outside to beach.
This has been a great product to keep me and my kids engaged, outside and entertained. Even some neighborhood kids came by to play as it allows for current social distancing practices.My concern with this is that the bottom, the foundation is not very sturdy. The clips and the base are plastic, so it doesn’t secure the poll very well. The plastic clips come off very easily and can be easily lost if not put away carefully and without those, the game is worthless.The price doesn’t really reflect the product. ….very pricey for a product that is somewhat flimsy at the bottom.I paid what I paid because of current shelter in place mandates and the desperate need to entertain my kids!
7 year old daughter loves it. Bought to improve racket coordination for tennis. Sturdy and whole family enjoys it
My kids are 9 & 10 and absolutely love playing this game. They can spend 1 hour outside playing together, which is huge as a mom. Unfortunately the ball has come loose several times and it’s becoming more of a pain to use.I couldn’t find a way to contact the buyer to ask them for a replacement, other than that I love the set but at $60 + I don’t expect the ball to come loose!
easy to assemble…instructions were not well written, but then again, it is assembling a pole….not very hard. A bit of common sense and in 5 minutes, your kids can be playing…This is for 5 to 9 year olds…not designed to take hits like Babe Ruth…so keep the 14 year old away from it…unless they play gentle.
My husband was willing to play against me and he had fun. The only thing is it takes a little practice time to hit the ball straight. Sometimes it lobs and gets wonky. Then you start over. Stand back as that ball does come around quickly. It would be helpful if the base had two handles for carrying to a different location. We wanted to play on the grass but didn’t want to kill the grass. We used our utility cart to move it. Glad I bought this for the summer time.
When looking for an outside toy for children, you want a few basic things.First, it must be easy to assemble, which this is, allowing them to quickly start having fun. Just fill the base with water (or sand if you prefer, but water is definitely easier so you can drain it and move to a different location more easily) and snap the rods together and you’re ready for action.Second, it must be engaging and support some level of physical activity. And this was a hit on both of those measures! It was fun for any age (9 and 10 years old to adult). You just have to be careful that you don’t get hit in the head… as that is easy to have happen. Overall, a great choice.
since we are all quarantine, and my son can’t do tennis lessons, i decided to get this so we can play outside. He loves it!! Super easy to put together. Love the paddle handles it has, so we don’t lose them. I put water in it, in my back yard, and sooooooo easy to travel with. This weekend we went to the beach, and we brought it. Filled it with sand, and it was perfect. We were the envy of the beach. all the parents with kids kept coming up to us to ask us where we got it.. they also wanted to play with my son, lol but i had to say no, and keep their distance. :( Even some older kids came around to ask. It was too much fun. I think my son loved it more on the beach, so he could dive and fall on the sand. Love love it.
With water in the bottom this product is sturdy yet can be moved easily when water is drained. Ball swings around the pole with no problem when hit properly and doesn’t tangle much.
