Tears to Tiara II is a good game, I wouldn’t say great. It’s a shame that there are so few tactical RPG out there now, because I LOVE them. I remember the great Final Fantasy Tactic, I don’t think any game will ever come as close as it as far as qualitiy goes.Tears to Tiara has an interesting tactical battle system, where all characters can be good in their own way.The story isn’t great, but it’s acceptable. This game is a visual novel, there’s a LOT of discussion in the game, so if you like to read, this game is great. Unfortunatly, the dialogues aren’t great and sometime repetitive, sometime you just wished they’d get to the point. This game is also challenging, some battle are really hard.Overall I liked the game, and would recommand people who like tactical RPG to buy it, just don’t expect too much and you’ll like it.
this game is a VISUAL NOVEL! with RPG like elements, so there is gonna be lots of dialouge, its not like a typical RPG with moving around and fighting battles, the story is great, voice acting even greater and it lets you choose your difficulty. Visual Novels are a thing in Japan, wish they would catch on over here in the west
Awesome game. Could not find in game stores around my area.Came in days early. Not damaged at all nicely sealed cool art book.
First of all I have to admit the narration is a bit long, but the story line and all other concepts of the game are rely good. Especially the actual rebellion opening itself. I even bought one for my sister. All around the whole concept of the game is great with that old rpg touch to it. The music and the characters are quite memorable. An theirs always something new waiting for you around the corner.
I like this game!
A great strategy RPG with unforgettable characters and a deep, compelling story. This game has some of the best voice acting I have ever seen in a game, which is good, because there is no English dub. The gameplay is simple, but the battles can still get difficult. Thankfully, the game has a feature where you can undo turns and rewind back to a previous turn. Some people may be put off by the amount of dialogue in the game. It can be a bit much. There were times when the story events would take well over an hour, so if this is too much for you, the game might not suit you. I didn’t much like the extra long story events at first, but after a while, I got used to it. All in all, this is a wonderful game. Highly recommended.
fine
One of the best and most in depth strategy games I have EVER played. The scenes can be quite lengthy and the language is only in Japanese but being an anime watcher I didn’t mind reading subtitles. You grown to love each and every single character and the long story gives players at least 48+ hours worth of gameplay. It is really sad the first one was never released in America.
first 7 hours are slow and boring but once you get past that and to the actual gameplay it opens up quite a bit. Only negatives would be jpn only audio and that its an incredibly long game just to do the story. I didn’t do many of the free maps, sidequest ect.
