Great game and fun to play but takes a lot of reading and checking online to understand subtle rules.
The miniatures included are well sculpted and have good detailing. The only exception was the X-Wing, which was a little disappointing. The board is well constructed and has a great layout. All the cards have interesting designs and are made of sturdy material. Gameplay is a little complex but the learning curve is manageable with a few turns. Overall great game.
Great game for anyone that is a huge fan of the Star Wars universe. It does take a little effort to learn both the basic and advanced rules. I played the basic several times before I attempted the advanced rules. This games also offers plenty of hours of replay ability. Never the same game twice! Overall…excellent game.
The game is kinda complicated and takes a while to set up, but it is fun. I beat my boyfriend at it so that was cool ;)
Caused some saltiness from the rebel scum but immediately sparked a want for a rematch. A little complicated on the first play-through but the second should go smoother. Definitely nostalgic.
If you can find someone who doesnt mind playing very long games, then this is an amazing choice for a purchase.Really made me feel as though i was creating my own galactic battle with the rebels and the empire.Fun for both sides and many strategic decisions to make.
Why I did not give this 5 stars is simple time. I love this game and how it works. They need to change the box to just say two players.Getting back to time. This is a fun game, but I can’t seem to get it to the table. I play board games 2x a week. The first is before band after work I have 2 hours to play with my friend. No time and Saturday before D&D I never have time before everyone else shows up to play. This game takes time. I have no complaints about the games. The components are great and the play be it a little luck is still fun to play. I have only played this game 3x each fun but it will be hard to get to the table.
My 18 year old son has enjoyed this so much. His friends all get together to play but don’t be surprised this is a serious game that takes hours. There is enough enjoyment in this game that videos take a back seat To play
Star Wars: Rebellion, from Fantasy Flight Games, is a two-to-four-player tabletop game that pits the evil Galactic Empire against the heroes of the Rebel Alliance. The game is based on the original Star Wars trilogy and contains two game boards that fit together, a mountain of cards, and many, many, minis. The game is asymmetrical. The Empire wins if it can successfully locate and destroy the hidden Rebel base. The Rebels win if they can score enough objective points to gain popular support throughout the galaxy, (if the round marker and the objective marker, which start out on opposite sides of the track, come together). At the beginning of the game each player has several systems that are loyal to them, and the Rebel player will choose a system to be the location of the secret Rebel base. Both sides start with four leaders, iconic characters from the Star Wars movies. Beginning with the Rebel player, both sides begin to assign their leaders to missions- cards that allow the characters to do fun and interesting things. For instance, the Imperial player may attempt to capture a Rebel leader, attempt to narrow down which worlds the Rebel base is on, or build projects like the Death Star or a Super Star Destroyer from a special mission deck, and more. The Rebels missions include attempts to bring neutral systems over to the Rebel cause with diplomacy, sabotage of Imperial production, foment uprisings, and more.Players will not want to assign all of their leaders to mission.
Takes long to set up. Average people can’t understand the rules. Takes a long time to finish a game. If you are patient and understand the game then it is loads of fun and imersive.
