Fox Interactive and Argonaut have done a praiseworthy job of bringing the second Aliens title to the Sony Playstation. Make no mistake about it – Alien Resurrection is a superbly crafted game, it’s intense and atmospheric, possessing in spades the vital ingrediants that any definitive Aliens game requires. The graphics are excellent for the PSX’s capabilities, the sound FX and ambience are spot on, the AI is impressive, the weapons beefy, and the Aliens suitably nasty. With ten huge levels of xenomorph-blasting action and some very nice Half-Life-style scripted sequences cutting into the action, this is one game that no Playstation-owning Aliens fan should be without. The ONLY reason I’ve not given it 5 stars is due to the somewhat fiddly control system – but even that can be overcome with practice and time.BUY IT NOW!!!
One word….use the cheat code, it makes the game a LITTLE easier. Go online to find the code. You better be awfully good at video games if you don’t use the code.
Its a classic and still scary to play all these years later. This is one of those games you should always play in the dark.
This is a fun game. This game keeps close to the alien movies, and especially to the fourth one. While some gamers complain that the game has a lot of dead space, with no killing, I didn’t find that to be the case. I did cheat and use the cheats codes to help me get through the game, especially with those little facehuggers lying around the floor waiting to get you. The facehuggers can be frustrating, but with the cheat on, you don’t die. I like the alien genre and if you enjoy the genre as well, you too will enjoy this game. It is great when it is best played in the dark.
The game is really hard for me and never manage to finish it, but I have enjoyed the graphics and story plot :)
i like to say first that alien resurrection is a psone game not to look over excellent game some of the controlling is tricky at first but you’ll get the hang of it graphics about 8 1/2 and gameplay 9 i think it is a classic in its own genre with all the movie and such this a game that should not be passed over overall excellent game
This game is alot better than its counterpart Alien Trilogy,on AR the graphic the environment and the artificial inttelligence of the aliens and they whey the attack is awesome the gameplay bets the hell out of Alien Trilogy.I mastered this game and let me tell you this game is like the movie. IF YOU HAVEN’T BOUGHT THIS GAME YOU SHOULD BECAUSE IT WILL SCARE THE LIVING DAYLIGHT OUT OF YOU.
Alien Resurrection is one of my favorite Alien games. This game is so scary and graphic, but fun. In this game, you have to fight in a space ship, USM Auriga filled with abandoned and scary dark tunnels, infested with horrifying cloned Xenomorphs that can climb walls, climb ceilings, spit acid, communicate each other, slash you, bite you, jump on you, and fighting the armed employees of the USM Auriga to you reach the escape ship. The Xenomorph eggs are in this game and the facehuggers will latch on you and plant the embryo in you then the embryo explodes from your chest which is scary, graphic and cool. In this game, there are many different Xenomorphs like the cloned ones. The cloned Xenomorphs are from a sickening result from an experiment research which Xenomorphs are spliced with human DNA, the Queen Xenomorph is in this game, and the most horrifying Xenomorph in this game is: Newborn. The sounds in this game are scary like the breathing from the Xenomorphs, the creaking of a ship hull, and the computer voice in the USM Auriga. The graphics in this game are awesome and scary. The weapons are badass like the Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, and the Electric Gun. I dare you to play this game "in the dark". Alien Resurrection is an recommended to die hard Alien fans.
I loved this game! First of all, I loved all the Alien Movies because the Aliens are so scary! This game, was also equally scary! They recommend playng this game in the dark, and I did, and it freaked me out! I just got a Playstation, and this was my first game. This is a great, exciting game! I’m only in the beginning stages, and it is giving me goosebumps and I haven’t even seen an alien yet! The ONLY reason why I didn’t give this game 5 stars is because the controls for this game are really hard, and they take a long time to get used to, and that there are also guards and other people with guns you have to kill, which I think ruins the game a little because your supposed to be alone with only the aliens, so why are the people there? Anyways, other then that, the game is really good, and you should buy it! You will not be disappointed. :)
I got a little excited for the new Alien game coming out next fall (Alien Isolation) so I purchased this. Despite its age it’s still worth a scare. People say the controls are confusing but if you’ve played a first person shooter in the past thirteen years then it’s the same. Movement is based on the same dual analog system that Halo and Call of Duty and so many others use. Though movement and aiming is hindered by aged sensitivity and not crisp with pinpoint accuracy like the new games it’s still easy for today’s gamers to get their heads around. The graphics are good for back then I suppose but very blocky. All in all I would say it’s the best installment in the Alien video game franchise, though I haven’t played all of them so don’t quote me.
