We hadn’t jumped on the Skylanders bandwagon until this Xmas, but we did and this is a great starter kit. 3 figures (1 giant and 2 regular) is good enough to keep the kids happy until you can get more, and the game is of better quality than I expected.
My grand children and my son love the skylanders games. They are really neat and they really enjoy playing in the different stages and levels of the games. There is a really great variety of playing pieces. Thank you for carrying these items.
I waited this this was 1/2 price at $30 to get for my daughter. She loves it and now we can get the other giants she wants to play with as well. You don’t really need the portal, so now we have an extra one sitting around, but the game disc is essential to be able to play the giants, and sadly, is not available for separate purchase at this time.
My 7 year old had been asking for Skylanders for ages, but at the store the starter pack was $75 and I couldn’t find it. I found this for half the price on December 18th and it got here before Christmas. Great product!
This was a great gift for our grandson..He and his brother are playing the game together, plus buying other characters to get to the next level..This is a great game because our grandsons play with their neighbours to see you can get to the next level…It’s fun just watching our grandsons compete against each other..If your looking for a good game this is it…
My 4-year old found out about this through a classmate… I bought the starter pack since I had an Xbox 360, and sure enough he loves it. He can do almost everything by himself, which is nice.. Lego games, he needed help with a lot of things and I’m not very good at video games, so it caused a lot of frustration for both of us. The only negative I have as of right now, is I wish they had a variety of starter packs. We bought this for the grandparents to have at their house too, and now they’re all duplicated. It would have been nice to be able to pick a different giant starter pack.
The place we bought it from, GoldStar Tech, was great. When we first plugged it in, the portal didn’t work. I contacted GoldStar and they sent a new portal right away!
I think this game was an excellent bit of fan service to people who bought the original game. If you had a Skylander from each element, you could access all the content from the first game. With the purchase of Giants, a giant is included, and all you need to access all the content is any single giant and one from each element. With the next game, Swap Force, you need at least half of the Swap force figures to access all the content. Giants is a fun game. I think you should be able to select different difficulty levels in one playthrough like you can in Swap Force, but that’s okay. It’s an excellent addition to the series and fixes a lot of issues from Spyro’s Adventure.

I love this toy. The portal concept enables kids to buy several toys, place on the portal and enjoy playing over and over with no way to wear them out. They just work. I love that kids can "test" them out by putting them on the portal in the store before buying. This starter kit is also perfect and we have all we need to plug and play into our TV with XBox360. Thx!
