This game is an absolute joy. I have been a fan of the Mario Kart games since I was a little kid playing on the SNES, and I can honestly say that Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed makes the MK games seem like the racing game equivalent of plain yogurt. The flying areas are especially impressive, and they seem like the fulfillment of mid-90s gamer fantasies of how 3D racing games would one day be. That may seem like an odd way to describe it, but I have simply never played a racing game that made me say "Wow!" the way this one does. The beautiful level designs and sense of speed make me physically twist and turn in my seat as I try to urge my vehicle in the right direction, and I’ve never done that with a game before.There is a ton of racing to do here, with numerous tracks and characters to unlock. Easy difficulties are suitable for players of any age and experience, while the highest degree of difficulty will challenge even veteran racers. For edge-of-the-seat excitement and bloodshot-eye intensity, I have never played a game that gave me a more rewarding experience. Forza-like simulations, arcade racers, and other cart racers all WISH they could be this exciting.The only downside to Sonic Racing Transformed is the presence of some nasty sticking points in the levels. There is nothing worse than being inexplicably caught on a wall or obstacle and unable to free yourself while the competition roars past. This can often be avoided once you’ve gained familiarity wi.
My wife and I were looking for a game like Mario Kart that we could play on our Xbox One. This is as close as it gets. It’s a good game for everyone to play as you can play online, split screen, or both. It takes a bit to learn how to drift, which is where the real speed comes from.
I bought it for a replacement to “beerio carts†for the Xbox works great for that
Have you ever been playing Mario Kart and wished you could have all the fun but with a little less shananigans of blue turtle shells and the like ruining things for the good drivers? Well this is a game for you. This is fun and cartoony but leaves something on the table for those of us that can drive their butts off. I like family fun but I like a challenge as well. This game will give you a challenge!. I have had it a week and I am still loving it as I unlock new characters. THIS IS NOT YOUR GIRL FRIEND’S MARIO KART! A couple of races and you will say the same. Fun will be had by all. Get all the other Sonic games out of your mind (Free Riders). This game rocks. I’m 38. ;>)
This is similar to the game “Super Conflict” I used to play on Super Nintendo. Aaaahhh… I love the smell of nostalgia in the morning.
I bought this game for my boyfriend’s birthday. Although the graphics are amazing during the introduction, we were a bit disappointed that they are quite basic throughout the game. He loves to play the game with his brother – so a 25 yr. old and a 15 yr. old love the game. They battle over parts of the country, and spend hours playing. It’s a little hard to get the hang of, so you might want to spend 5 minutes reading the directions, as opossed to an hour getting killed!
Great alternative to Mario cart for Xbox. Best of all it works on 360 and Xbox one.
XBOX 360 ARCADE DEMO AVAILABLE FOR FREE: Before my review, I wanted to make it clear that Xbox live Arcade has a free demo available for download that allows to to play a race, and another “boost” game mode on a different track as Sonic. Why read the reviews when you can give it a try yourself? (The final product’s menu screens appear more polished looking in the final product. After having seen the first Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing game was such a success, and couldn’t find a single negative review on this game (except by some Nintendo magazine…which was obviously biased), I immediately ordered two copies (one for a buddy/his wife). It’s unfortunate I never knew the first game existed – and I wasn’t willing to try it out considering it’s priced higher currently (360 version) and this game is two years newer, and improved in nearly every way from wh.
This hame is a blast! You can race alone or against each other. My 3 year old loves it! We start on easy level. As he masters that we can go to medium then hard. He loves that the vehicle transforms! The controls are easy enough for this 50 year old mom to figure out how to use! So I can play with him which he also likes! My teens like it because of the different characters and challenges and they can play with youngest brother and he can actually keep up. It’s clean and I love that. We discovered this game in the back of a hot wheels game box. If you have a kiddo that likes racing or cars they will love this game! It’s our most played game!
while sonic generations was great… sonic 4 ep. 2 did not really suit me. when i heard about this game,i wondered if it will be good. and it was more than good! let us start the review! sound and music. this game is chock full of memories when it comes to music and stages. great remixes (seaside hill is my fave)but if you want the original music,watch outgraphics,gameplay, and camerathe graphics are very good when it mixes old and new school. the gameplay is great, just a lot of things are going on. the camera is perfect. nuf saidreplayibilitylike any racing game, the replayibility is high. there are a lot of modes to choose from!dificulltythis game is pretty hard. if you do not like a challenge, just stick to c classverdictthis is a great game for many people but if like easy modes and original music, start of with the first one10 out of 10. go and by it, it is amazing.
