This is a good game once you get the hang of it and it gets hard to put down the control
LOVE THIS GAME!!! We love to play. Every level is different. We especially like having the ability to change the chinese symbols to letters, A-B-C-D and so on. This aspect makes the game easier to play and remember what will match. We have spent as many as 12-15hrs playing this game, level after level until the end. Bought a 2nd copy just to make sure we have one that plays at all times. Highly recommend this game!!
The game won’t have you jumping out of your chair but that’s why it’s so wonderful. I’ve found it to be a wonderful stress reliever because it’s slow, easy-going and you can’t rush through it no matter how hard you try. The object is to find two "tiles" that match and are not blocked in. Simply click on them to make them disappear. There are numbers, small pictures or sometimes plants on the tiles. A match doesn’t always mean the two tiles will look just alike. It’s a very easy game, and the real challenge is being able to sit still long enough to play it. Oh yeah it’s very addicting!!!
It used to be that every video game console had a Shanghai game. From the NES and SNES to the genesis, Turbographix, 3DO and Saturn and so on. Somewhere along the line this type of game faded into obscurity. Maybe because of all the free versions on PC, or because it got stagnant with little innovation or reason to try the latest version.Regardless, the game is still a classic, and just as fun as always.Truth be told, this particular series peaked with Shanghai Triple threat/Great Wall on 3DO and Saturn, with True Valor coming out a few years later on PlayStation 1.So if you enjoy solitaire tile matching games that you will probably lose at many times, you can’t go wrong with this one. Although I recommend buying it soon as the rarity does tend to inflate the value far above more common versions found on all the other systems.
Cool Mahjong Game! Its probably an early entry because it wasn’t that popular in Western Culture!
