fun game
Well to begin, this edition is not in any way related to the previous 2D installments, the game play mechanics were change in a 360 degree turn (no pun intended). half of the characters are unique. The classic characters of course are unique, and half generic the are majority of the new characters, clear example Garros, or Kirian. The intro is outstanding, clear example Haohmaru slicing the thick cherry bloom tree and stone lamps in one diagonal slash. The way the game enables the ability of chopping the limps and heads of the characters, keeps the game in the fantasy realm. The cover is half decent. the logo used has Haohmaru’s silhouette in front of the sun, with the red title name on front of him, and to make it uncanny his left eye has a red sparkle. The cast looks paste on the bottom of the cover, this covers the other half of the cover and my final remarks. thanks for reading and support SNK PLAYMORE.

SSS is great.great soundtrack and the cell shaded animation has a unique look.seems like the gameplay is based on successful counter which requires more skill and timing then maybe soul calibur.sss is geared more toward the hard stratagist such as myself.5/5.alotta people give this games low ratings.as if they could do a better job and prolly cant even program a dvr.great game

This game is a breath of fresh air to an old 2-D fighting classic. What a better way to start off the new decade of Samurai Showdown with Samurai Showdown Zen. Without the cartoon-like feel from it’s past, Samurai Showdown Zen is the most realistic version to date.It’s time to put away the fireballs and other cartoon-like special moves and welcome fast swordsmanship. Zen’s intelligence is just awesome. The computer will match your gaming style. If you are a fast launcher with combos, the computer will match you in speed. If you slow down with moves, the computer will slow down too. Classic moves such as Galford’s wolf attack and Nakururu’s eagle launch attack are in Zen.The graphics are nicely done and matches well with the background music. It’s nice to decapitate your enemy or cut off any limb at the end of the final match. The game has lots of blood in it too.If you are ready for a grown up feel to a classic game with great history, pick up Samurai Showdown Zen. This game is recommended for the hardcore Samurai Showdown fan.
Very fun and unique coming from the original game concept. Feels like Samurai Spirits a warriors rage.
