Very good
The story isnt all that great but i its defense it is a lot of fun.I picked this game for $20.00 I thought it would keep me busy for a few weeks.I beat the game and cant stop playing I absolutely love.Assassins Creed is one of my favorite games and so is Grand Theft AutoI dont know another game like this.It may be one of the best stealth games out there still almost a year after its releaseYou can climb up the eiffel towerIt is fun and a great deal for $20 Personaly I would have payed $40
The Saboteur is a great game, even for players who prefer different playstyles. I enjoy completing a story and becoming immersed in a world, which Saboteur does brilliantly. Never before have I felt so educated while playing a videogame (you’ll learn all about the Nazi occupation of France during the second World War) but I also had the same sense when playing the game that I do when reading a good book. On the other hand, my boyfriend is a completionist who was challenged by the thousands of targets around Paris that could be blown up.There were a couple graphical glitches but these were minor and not as bad as, say, Assassin’s Creed. However, you can’t beat the Saboteur for engaging gameplay, an immersive sandbox world and historical themes.
Been playing this about 10 hours, and it’s a lot of fun. 3300+ open world targets to blow up, upgrades galore, everything can be upgraded in this game. Health, armor, cars, weapons, demolitions, you name it. Very much a “play the way you want to” open world. Lots of freedom. A vertical world too, since you can climb anything! If you enjoy sandbox games, definitely give this a chance. Not your average WW2 game that’s for sure. I haven’t run into any bugs yet, but then again, in 10 hours I have only covered about 10% of the game, if that. Definitely going to get your money’s worth. Give it a shot.
I know there have been a lot of WWII games, but don’t let the setting for The Saboteur turn you off, because occupied Paris is a venue that has not been well explored in any other title. As others have noted, this is basically a GTA style “sandbox” game, however its setting and story set it apart from most of the competition. I won’t argue that the characters are deep — if you’ve seen the great Val Kilmer comedy “Top Secret”, some of The Saboteur’s personalities may seem to border on such parodies. I would not be surprised if some new Resistance members appeared, named Deja Vu and Chocolate Mousse. If you launch into this game with the right expectations, you’ll have a lot of fun, just don’t take it too seriously. The French Resistance is certainly a nice change from generic street gang plots. The Saboteur has excellent, though slightly hammy, voice acting, and although the side missions can become a bit repetitive, none of them are as ridiculous as GTA’s number one competitor clone which has you spraying citizens with sewage. While I appreciate the adult content option (as opposed to leaving the content out completely), someone should tell the developers that cabaret dancers never have large breasts. Haven’t they ever been to Vegas? Dancing and a huge chest just don’t mix.The driving physics are about par for a GTA clone (nowhere near as good as the king itself), but The Saboteur compensates for this with a forgiving damage model. No rocketing out through the windshield here.
excellent!!
If you’re unfamiliar with this genre, it’s along the lines of recent Grand Theft Auto, Mercenaries, and Saints Row games. A lot of this game is similar to Pandemic’s Mercenaries 2, but you’re in occupied Paris during WW II instead of Venezuela in modern times. So if you hate those types of games, move along…This game looks very good, but it does take some getting used to if you’ve been playing a lot of those other games and non-“sandbox” games recently. The game is fairly easy on the lowest difficulties, but it’s not a cakewalk. How it is on the more difficult levels is probably standard to that sort of thing, when such games even have variable difficulties in the first place. There are a lot of fun things going on. The disguises and how your actions dictate the suspicion zone is very interesting, for example. There are some quirks I’ve noticed so far. It might be because I’ve installed it to the hard drive, but after playing for a while the other day, the frame rates and voice/speech sync got way off. There also seems to be far too many switchovers from location to location, or at least I got the impression of clunkiness as the dissolve and loading goes on. The females hanging around in the club certainly look okay, if pretty similar, but they are very much certainly not mid-1940s style women — They’ve got that stripperific bust enhancement thing going on.For those interested in such things, I got this used, so there was no Midnight Show code. The shop supposedly t.
This game was a breath of fresh air in an overcrowded market of World War II games. The best part of the game is the atmosphere the game creates, and how your character acts to change that atmosphere from one of despair to one of hope.
Great game and full of action from start to finish. I had fun blowing everything up and just that alone was very entertaining. The Saboteur is a solid and detailed game with polish.
Any fans of any of the Grand Theft Auto games will love this one. It’s like GTA during WWII in Paris. Running, jumping, climbing, driving, shooting, and blowing up Nazis is always fun…loved it. Finished the main story and there are still tons of stuff to blow up and Nazis to do away with in the free play areas.
