A really cool turn-based strategy game.
Koei’s “Aerobiz Supersonic” is a true rarity – a business sim that is both fun and challenging. You are the CEO of a new airline. Your goal is simple — to be the #1 airline in the world within 20 years. You accomplish this by buying aircraft and using them to open routes to cities all over the world. You can also buy businesses such as hotels, amusement parks, even travel agencies to give your airline the edge over your competitors. “Aerobiz Supersonic” gives you 4 scenarios to choose from: 1955-1975, 1970-1990, 1985-2005, and 2000-2025. Koei really did their historical homework here. As the years go by, world events affect your business: wars, World’s Fairs, even changing political systems. Koei is also to be commended for using actual airline types as well as creative fictitious ones. The interface is very easy to use, including a very clever ‘Hold Board Meeting’ where your advisors suggest new routes and/or businesses to buy. Yes, it may be hard to find since it was only available for Super Nintendo and Genesis, but it is well worth it to anyone who has ever had an interest in airlines. Other airline business simulations have been released, but none of them can measure up to “Aerobiz Supersonic.” Hopefully Koei will release this great sim as a PC title soon!
Fantastic game that is playable for hours. Only wish somebody would make a newer version for PC xbox and playstation!
