I read the book and was kind of interested. What she said made sense but couldn’t be true because its not what i have been told my whole life!! Guess what, three weeks in and 13.5 pounds lighter. Joined a challenge group and am so happy that I made this decision.
I’m a young guy 26yr old and I weigh 257. I was considered obese. I wanted to change. When I bought this book, my family laugh at me said I bought a book about weigh loss and how it wasn’t going to work. I read the book and follow the rules. Started july and lost 15 pound before august. Now that August is almost over, I loss over 27 pounds in 2 months. I’m surprised its working. I’m basically proving to my family that it works.
This is my first ever review on retrolio. I brought the book in May, joined the 10 Pound Take Down Challenge in June, and started my custom program in July! Cristy and her book were the answers to my prayers! I have been overweight since the SECOND GRADE and following her lifestyle plan, my body is finally healing itself! I’m down over 25 pounds in about six weeks and the weight just keeps on going. The weight-loss is wonderful but what’s better for me is I am able to wake up early and be excited for my day now. Saying thank you to Cristy will never be enough! I’m planning to attend Code Red live in 2021 so I can thank her in person! Must read this book if you are ready to make the change your body desperately needs!
A perfect book full of information that’s broken down in an easy way to understand. It’s inspirational, encouraging, and no BS. Cristy lays it out plain and clear just what has to be done to loss the weight. She addresses every question I’ve had but never could find the answer to….such as , do you lose weight first then exercise or do you exercise at the same time you’re trying to lose weight. After reading this book I now know why I was never able to lose much weight. She also addresses the issue of unclean foods…a big problem in today world. Thanks Cristy, I’m starting now !
My husband and I started this diet based on our doctor’s recommendation. We are losing weight and really not hungry. I have lost 14 lbs. in 2.5 weeks and my husband has lost even more. Some people are complaining that there is not a specific diet plan but if you refer to the list of foods and create your menu to meet the 10/30/60 then you will lose weight. This is a life style change and not a strict diet. You have the freedom to choose what you eat (of the approved list) and how much as long as it meets the guidelines. We eat cloud bread and love it for our sandwiches. I would recommend this book to anyone who is serious about weight loss.

Before this book, I was doing the low fat, low card thing. I lost water weight the first few days, then my weight would stall, for a month or so. I also had intense carbohydrate cravings that I often gave in to, then I would gain the weight back. What I didn’t know, is that there is a better way, that actually burns fat and fixes the carb cravings. Since I started the Code Red diet, I am quickly burning fat and loosing weight easily and gaining muscle without any exercise. I know this because I use a bio-metric weight scale. Not only is my weight improving, but my type two diabetes is going away, I have better blood sugar (normal range), improved energy and my problem eczema has gone away. If you want heath and a better way of life, read this book, implement it, and change your life forever! I got it on my doctor recommendation. I had read previous reviews that it had too many success stories. Lies. I needed that to encourage me! To see her truth being lived out.Also. Yes. It is a low carb / keto type diet. But it’s also NOT. She introduces a sort of intermittent fasting. No snacking- which is really helping me! She also talks why no cheese at first because of its inflammatory side effects.She gives you the info behind it all and I appreciate that!!!We have been doing the code red lifestyle nearly perfect since early January. My husband and 4 children- 10 and under. We are all healthier, happier and encouraged!! My daughter is no longer close to being diabetic. I’m off 3 medications.If you feel like you’re hanging by a thread…. do as Christy says.. “choose your hardâ€. Revamping how you fuel your body with real food, sleep and lots of water…. or carry on being sore, unhappy, tons of medications. Or in fear that will all happen soon!!
