Pixel Junk Monsters is a fun defense/stragety game.You are Tikiman. One day, his town has become overridden with various, dangerous monters. You must keep them from reaching the hut and killing his flock. If all survive at the end of the level, then you get a rainbow. You must get 7 rainbows to move to the left side of the map, where new worlds await you.Each level is different. It will describe each level and what you should do.Towers cost money to build. You need to think carefully about where to place each tower, so they will have the desired effect. Most monsters will leave behind coins and blue gems. Gems are needed to buy a new tower. But you must hurry to collect the coins and gems left behind. They WILL disappear on you if you’re not fast enough. Sometimes you can find coins and gems through the trees.The most difficult part of the game is figuring out which towers will kill which enemies. Each enemy is different and not all towers will do the same thing to every monster. For ex: Canon towers don’t have any effect at all on flying monters. They don’t even fire. Arrow towers are helpful, but still not good enough. You need an airgun tower, and alot of them if there are a lot of flying monsters.There are four different colored flags you can upgrade your tower to: Blue, yellow, purple and black. You can upgrade each tower to its fullest, which is black and gold. The tower will have a black flag and a gold base. This is the most powerful. Blue is the weakest. You can use.
I borrowed a friends PSP for when I was traveling to Hawaii and I’m glad I bought this game. I have the PS3 version and knew how much fun/addictive that was. This version introduces some new towers(not that great, but fun) and also has online coop(wish the ps3 did). I didn’t try the coop, but just the regular game sucks up hours of fun. You NEED this game.
LOVEEEEE! Just finish getting rainbows in every level of the game and I thought! Gosh! I kinda wanted to play it forever! Very challenging yet stimulating! Very addictive! Love! Love! Love!

I bought this on the PlayStation Store long before the PSP version came out. I think it’s the best game you can download on the store, even currently. I’ve invested several hours into the game, beating it over and over with my brother. Here’s my quick review:The game is simple. You have a limited selection of towers to defend your Tiki-children (I’m assuming that’s what they are) against waves of enemies. There’s different paths the enemies take and shields they may have to defend themselves so you really have to pay attention to what’s going on. There’s several levels and several types of enemies. And normally I don’t care too much about this but the music in the game is outstanding and cool. The one downside to the entire game is that the “random” feature is just for enemies. There’s not a random seed generator for maps.By far, one of my favorite games on the PSP. I really hope PixelJunk makes a sequel soon…
Pixel Junk Monsters game seem to be a fun game for my grand daughter to play with, she loves it
Not a complicated game, but very enjoyable. As simple as the game is, my kid has have fun with it.
the game is really a good and fun one in the tower defense game category. the graphics are kind of fun with snow and rain falling some times and is really a challenger and hard game with tons of different levels in the 3 islands of the game. i did not finish yet and well playing in the normal mode is kind of hard!
