I remembered playing pitfall when it was a pixelated game early on. But this is a whole new adventure. The graphics are great and the challenges (though at times a little hard to figure out) are fun. I am really enjoying the new and improved version of this game.

I had this originally for the Gamecube, liked the game but found it surprisingly difficult. I don’t know if it was a translation to the Wiimote control scheme but this game was easier on the Wii; that being said it was still challenging the second time around. Pitfall Harry stars and is schmarmy but still likable in this lush adventure. The caricatures of the characters are just that—caricatures. They are meant to be goofy but I could see some in our modern culture being critical at how jungle natives are portrayed (it’s insensitive) but it’s also not trying to actually portray an ethnic group so if you’re that sensitive then skip this game. Otherwise you’re going to be doing a lot of traversing and exploring, navigating alligators and (of course) pitfalls and mama monkeys who are going to kick you when they catch their baby chimps on your back. The gameplay is most challenging in its required backtracking. The map will show you where to go but it won’t always be easy to get there and that’s the essence of this game, that and the humorous asides and goofy antics and looks of Harry.
LOVED this game on the old Xbox and was soooo bummed it was given away. But the screen shots shown of the Playstation one was EXACTLY the same as I remember! And so is this!!! Super YAY! We got it back and it’s exactly as I remember it!~!! Our kids LOVE playing it!!!
Now on Wii, a nice surprise, a lot of fun for the entire family, for a small price. Add it to your collection without fear.

Bought this game over the weekend only because it was on sale for $19.99, had it been regular price, would not have gotten the game. With that said, I LOVE THE GAME. It has me just as addicted as the Lego games.My main reason for buying the game was because I loved Pitfall on the ATARI 2600, I would sit and play for hours. When this was released my only reservation about buying the game is that it is a one player game. We bought the wii for us to play together and agreed we would only buy games that we both enjoyed (otherwise I buy games for PS2). The graphics are obviously much better than ATARI, the storyline is easy to follow and basically if you remember some of the basic rules from the original games, it applies here as well, such as crossing crocodiles. The game can be a bit challenging at times, but overall I have been enjoying playing the game.This game is worth the $40 now that I have been playing it.
Loved the game and also if you look up the cheat code on the internet you can use it to play the original pitfall game.
Loved this game. Maybe it was nostalgia that made this game so appealing to me, I don’t know. All I can say is that, for a short time, I became Pitfall Harry in those remote jungles and mountains of Peru and I enjoyed every minute of it.
